Sure.:( Thats what TD2K said too. sob sob, now she hardly ever visits anymore, doesn't know we're alive.......... JDlott put us on the line and now she's ignoring us too.
I'm beginning to think Old Lincoln and Mr Surveyor are running off all our girls.
Your a computer genius, maybe you can multi task the work computer and work and play at the same time.

I bounce in and out enough, people probably figure I never work, actually maybe that's true. I just got out of going to court next week so it's celebration time, I hate court. Glad its a very very rare thing for me.

Kind of what I thought too, but I was afraid to say anything. Might not be a bad thing though, kind of a work/hobby situation.

Maybe Melissa will get a T Bucket or a nice 57 Chevy rag top for a company car.

I was told that the owner likes to keep the employees busy doing something all the time. They also have a contract with Merial Ltd. (animal vaccines) to keep their farm equipment serviced. The owner also sells stuff on Craig's List. Who knows what all I might be getting into....

My local fun shop is taking applications for full and part time sales. I'm going to apply for a part time position. That would be just like working in a candy store. :D

Nice I love the way she didn't disturb the clean lines of the original vehicle. Very subdued and suttle. Nice work. Bet you paid her a pretty penny for that.

About an hour north of where I live there used to be a Yard Ornament and Cheese Shop in operation. Don't know if they are still there but I thought that was a weird combo.

Congrats Melissa,

Bawanna, naw, I'm not ignorning you. With Jlottmc in class two nights a week, then him working 10-12 hour shifts two days a week, and then me working full-time, don't get on here as much as I'd like to anymore. Try to spend time with jlottmc and DD when I can get the time. It may get less and less time if jlottmc gets into the academy in September like he's trying to.

LOL, Really Melissa. I'm sure it's more like jlottmc's case in he's not ALLOWED to work at one because the extra money would all go to guns. I'd like to have a LITTLE extra money if he's working PT there.

Thanks! I'm not sure what their employee policy is, but I go in there OC'ing most of the time. They have no signs prohibiting loaded firearms which is odd for a gun shop or range these days. Come to think of it, I did hear one employee say that he was carrying the other day.

Yes, I can relate. I always have a gun on the want list. I am gun greedy and want them all. :D

Cool! But, I was thinking more about the bean counter position.

Here in the Tucson area, it is a given that everyone behind the gun counter at the fun store will be carrying, usually open carry. I am guessing that bean counters and clerical princesses are less likely to get that blessing. ;)

Oh...that does present a good question. I haven't said anything to them about guns. I was thinking that I would pocket carry my Jetfire for a while and then when I am trained and they are happy with me, I would bring up the subject. Might even try the smart carry thing again. Surely the Jetfire is small enough to not make me look...um, manly. :p

That should work. By the time it is an issue you almost certainly will already know how they feel, in the meantime . . . "concealed means concealed" and "debits on the left, credits on the right". I am confident you will "knock one out of the park" the first time at bat. :D

Bawanna

I'd carry as you normally do. Concealed is concealed and play the ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies game. I'd be deeply surprised being as it sounds like a relatively small company if they have an issue with it.

Another short story in the life of bawanna. Many moons ago I got a new job as a construction forman doing light commercial stuff. I had a special bag on the back of my nail belt specifically for my 1911 with a velcroed flap to keep most of the sawdust off of it.
The company owner somehow heard that I carried a gun and asked a friend of mine who was higher than me in the company in for a meeting. Asked if I carried a gun, he said all the time. Asked if I'd shoot anybody, his reply was only if they sorely needed to be shot.
He then called me into his ofice for a meeting and brought it up, I asked if he had an issue with it, he kind of stuttered and said not at all. I told him I might not be completely sane but I wouldn't shoot nobody that didn't need it and offered to leave it in the truck if he preferred. He was cool with it.

Remind me to tell you about the laborer who tried to do the China Wind Gate on me on a jobsite. I still laugh about that one.

We now return you to our normally scheduled Melissa got a new job and maybe 2 new jobs thread.

I know your gonna ace both these jobs Melissa. All jobs suck, I just hope these jobs don't suck as much as most others.

Congrats Melissa!
Some small business's are kind of unique when it comes to carry. A few years back a small business I frequented posted no CCW signs...
So I confronted the owner and told him if that was the policy I'd go elsewhere.
He told me his insurance company required the sign but he was perfectly ok with CCW in his store! He must have changed insurance companies later because his signs are gone now.

Unfortunately for me, I work for a mega-corp that disallows it and I drive a company owned vehicle so I'm unarmed much of almost every day....
In fact they prohibit anything gun related so if I spot a good deal on ammo when browsing, lets say at lunch, I can't even buy it and transport it since I'd be in the company car..
