Is there a difference between the Kahr 6 round magazine follower and the Kahr 7 round magazine follower?

They appear identical to me.

The Kahr website shows different part numbers for them.

they are the same,,,,

naturally springs are different..kahr owners manuals shows all followers as part # 039. there is no difference

Naturally the 45 followers are bigger but I think the 9 and 40 cal followers are even the same, but I am sure a 6 round and a 7 round or 8 round magazine follower in 9mm is the same.

I would say they are identical but I have nothing to back this up with. Everything is the same on that end, just a longer tube and spring.

The parts break down on the kahr site should list that follower with the same part number. I'll go see if I can track that down.

I have been wondering if a person could turn a 6 round magazine into a 7 round by trimming off the bottom "legs" (the front and back ends of the follower) of the follower? Leave plenty for the spring to seat into but trim the legs back to the same height as the center plug of the follower (that the spring seats onto). Has anyone tried this yet?

I believe you will discover that the volume under the carrier is just barely large enough to accommodate the fully compressed spring.
