I am picking up a new CM9 tomorrow! I am excited about the new Kahr! I have a CW9 and really like the pistol. About 1200 trouble free rounds down range! It is a favored carry pistol. I am moving from a P32 in the pocket to the CM9 and I feel much better about the larger caliber as a backup or primary pistol.

I think the cm9 is going top surprise u , just how nice it is. I can even see the cw9 taking a back seat to the cm9..
course nothing wrong with a back seat, as my girlfriend once told me years ago!!

Thanks for the encouragement guys, if it works as well as the CW9 I could be very happy with pocket carry. I plan to clean and shoot a hundred rounds with the CM9 at the indoor range tomorrow.

Picked up the CM9 this morning. Came home and dissembled the CM9 for an inspection and clean lube.
Some rough plastic tags on the frame gritty and rough to work the slide.
The double captured spring is stouter the the single spring on my CW9.
I shot 50 rounds of Winchester White Box, 7 rounds of 115 grain Remington JHP. Standard load.
20 rounds of lighter reload and each round ejected but would not properly load the next round. That is because these reloads were to light. Shooting reloads with 5 more grains of power fixed that problem. I then shot 30 more rounds with those reloads.
Last 7 rounds of JHP Remington ran flawless. I plan to shoot another 150 rounds at the outdoor range next week.
So I am very pleased with the CM9 and plan to carry this great in a pocket and the CW9 in an IWB or belt holster as a pair. If the dress is restricted to pocket carry only then I will have a 9-mm instead of a P32 in the front pocket. I am loving this little dude!
I remember that Jocko forecast this could happen. It is another great Kahr!

Great news. The CM reputation is intact and very very good.
In an attempt to look smart before all the other really smart guys get here, I have to question the 5 more grains of power statement.
5 grains of powder in a 9mm is huge. I'm sure you meant something slightly different.
If this isn't the case and I'm really dumb try not to make a big deal out of it, sort of pretend I didn't say nuthin.
Glad your new CM is working so well for ya.

I just ordered a CM9 hopefully Davidson's will have them back in stock soon. I have a CW9 as well and I plan on a carry set up like yours.. What pocket holster do you have. Sam Andrews Leather has a nice looking wallet holster....

I caught that too B. I think/hope he means .5 grain more powder... Otherwise I doubt we would be reading his report now as typing might be a bit hard with a few less fingers!
Congrats! on the CW9/CM9 combo. I have the same two Kahrs myself.

Right on guys, it was .5, sorry for the missing decimal point. You are correct 5 grains more is a magnitude of order difference!
What a fun day! I thought one Kahr would do me, not so, I am amazed that the little CM9 is this easy to control. In fact the pistol smoothed out very well with a few rounds over 100.

:confused:After shopping around town a week or so , one gun store across town told me they just got in ONE cm9 ten minutes ago.Problem being they closed in 20 minutes. Next morning I shot across town and bought the only CM9 in town that I could find. After disassembly, cleaning ,and deburring the polymer threads, I got to the range to try this little thing out. First thing I noticed was the recoil. IMO the recoil was the same or maybe less than my Ruger sr9c. 100 rounds of Federal 115gr from walmart went down range with not a single malfunction.Very smooth, loading 6rds at at time stinks though.( Extra magazine coming from Cheaper than Dirt $28.97 plus ship. )My only complaint was first 90 rds were all 2 or 3 inches low of aimming point. Last 10 rds started to get on target. Not sure if it was due to breaking in or my eyes.Everything I've read states how accurate the CM9 is.Has anyone else experienced accuarcy problems during break in period.I was only shooting at the 21ft(7yd) mark.I'm not a great shot, but usually better than this.

Sounds like you still need to get used to the trigger. Shooting low and usually left for a right hander is quite common for folks not used to the trigger. I'd stick with it, I suspect it will improve on it's own.

Good for you. I like your thinking. Reminds me of another fellow who several months back got a PM9 when he realized that the PM9 could fit in and allow for a smooth draw from almost all the pockets that his P3AT fit.
BTW, that other fellow is me. The PM9 has worked out great and replaced my P3AT carry in all but a few pants pockets. PM9 has even pushed my Glock 26 aside on a few occasions. PM9 would probably get even more carry, replacing the Glock on more occasions, if I ever decide to get an AIWB holster for the PM9.
Great minds think alike! :)

I agree, one of my shooting friends has that very PM9. It is a more refined version of my CM9. Shooting a few magazines with his PM9 helped me decide to buy my CM9 when Kahr marketed the CM9.
