I'm a new Kahr owner and new to this forum. Looks like some great info here.

Bought a CM9 yesterday. My first Kahr. I wanted something easier to CC than my Bersa Thunder 380. I went with Kahr based on reputation, workmanship, and reviews. I've never handled one before. Cleaned it up and went to the range today. Held my breath on the first shot as I wasn't sure if I put it back together properly. I was paranoid about the slide stop spring. Apparently, everything was correct.

I tried 4 brands of 115 g FMJ; S&B, Federal Champion, Winchester white box, and Remington UMC. I only shot 20 rounds of each, my thumb was getting sore from the strong mag spring. No issues with any of the 80 rounds. Not a one. This performance exceeded my expectations for a new pistol's first time out.
I'll go back in a couple of days and try to make it through 200 rounds. Now I need another mag and a pocket holster. So far, I'm a very happy camper :D

Glad ya found us. You certainly went from a Neo to a Lamborgini in the gun dept although many get along fine with those Bersa's. I suspect you'll never go back.

You made a good solid choice. The CM is just a winner by all accounts. Very few issues. What more could you ask for.

Enjoy, hope you hang around with us. Pretty fine bunch of folks around here.

xteen: I'm smelling the same as you (does that sound wierd?!!).
I just picked up my very first CW9 on Saturday the 25th. I got to shoot 100 rounds thru it on Monday....zero mechanical problems. I did get a little raw from the rough frontstrap checkering. Maybe I'll fix that or maybe I'll grow used to it.
I hope your new pistol works out well for you and look forward to hearing your experiences. By the way, I liked my Bersa 380 VERY much....I kinda miss it.

Thanks for the welcomes. I expect to learn a lot here. I just realized that this thread should have been in the PM forum. I hope this won't go on my permanent record. ;)
