I went to the range a few days ago with my pm9 and new Crimson Trace laser. At first the laser was on target but after a few rounds the laser was off point of aim. I checked the laser and it was to the right of the front sight. I went home and called Crimson Trace customer service and they told me if it happens again call back. Yesterday I went to range again and it moved again. I readjusted the laser again and this time I hit my gun (unloaded) on the side a few times and got the laser to move. I called Crimson Trace and they offered to repair it. This is my second Crimson laser for my pm9. The first one did not fit and they replaced it. Has anybody else have problems with their Crimson Trace laser?

Multiple reports of bad fitting LG-437's out there. See the thread in the Crimson section of this, or the "alert" thread in the tech section.

The fitting was good this time but the laser would not stay zero in.

I have one on my sig that does that. Each outing after 50+ rounds, the amount off is less and less. I think mine is settling in? Shoot with it a few more times before you send it in. It might settle in ??? In short, I think the CTL is good for nightstands, conceal carry, but not all that for the range. Just my 2 cents. I have 2 of them for different guns, but decided not to put one on my Kahr. My 1911 one stays zero'd all the time though.

I had one on my Ruger LCP for two years without a problem. I traded in the LCP for the PM9. I don’t use my laser at the range that much because most of the times I practice with my duty weapon (G22) which doesn’t have a laser.

The CTL can slip from side to side on the poly grip in some cases if the laser is not cranked down tight. I found that Agrips make it stick in place. Try some agrips on your poly grip. Mount the CTL over that Agrip material. A quick way to check is to simply line up your sights and make sure that your laser dot is on the front sight at a preset yardage. If it is off to one side or another, simply push the plastic back to zero. This tells you it is loose. I doubt that it is internal movemen, but I guess that could be possible. I suspect that it is external.

Once I got mine tightened down, it holds very true for a long peroid of time. I have even noticed your problem with my wife's Bodyguard380 which has an internal Insight laser. One would think that a laser built into the frame of the gun would hold true, but you can push the insight laser right and left ever so slightly by hand pressure if it gets out of wack. Simply line up the sights and the laser should sit on the front sight. If it is right or left, the plastic is slipping on the poly guard and grip. Tighten it down and try agrips to solve your problem. This should help it grip and solve your issue. It has worked for others.

You might be right because on my Ruger LCP I had a bike inner tube under the laser and never had a problem.

I tried one and got rid of it right away, in my opinion they are way to flimsy,

I went with a:

I was looking at the Laserlyte rear sight laser but I don't know much about them.

I got one on my Glock and like it, well made and holds it's position and still fits holster.

Very Nice! do you have to remove the sight to change the batteries?

I just encounted problems ....sent this Email to Crimson Trace Customer Service ... haven't heard back ...will call them after the holiday.

I recently purchased a LG-437 for my Kahr CW9. I received the laser on 6/10/11. Installed per instructions. I went to range sighted in laser and put 175 rounds thru it. The laser was Dead On. Yesterday went to range and after approximately 20 rds noticed laser was off.

Using a bench rest provided by the range ...I could not get this laser sighted in! Could the laser have become dislodged internally? This gun has never been dropped or taken a harsh blow of any kind (it is a new firearm). What could the problem be? How do I resolve?

Note: when I get close to having laser sighted and then take one or two shots to check ... I ended up having to start over ...because its no longer close. That is why I wonder about an internal problem. I have not removed the laserguard since original installation.

Checked and double checked ...mounting/installation is secure. I'm familar with the laserguards, as I have one (LG-436) on my G26 which operates flawlessly.PLEASE HELP!

My laser was made April 2011 so it a new laser also. I used a laser bore sight to zero it in but the two times I went to the range and fired a few rounds the laser moved but only from side to side never up or down. I first emailed Crimson Trace customer twice with NO RESPONSE from them. It was after calling them for the second time after I having other problem that they gave me a RA number.

My laserguard was losing zero on my PM9. I posted about it. But, I torqued those little tiny screws tighter than I thought prudent initially, and it stays right on now.

YEP. Tighten them screws down good and if it still moves, simply add Agrips and it won't move even with pocket carry. I never need to adjust mine and never worry about it moving at all.

garyb, I had Agrip on my pm9 and sometimes it would move when I had the laser on it. I admit I never tighten the screws to the point where they were sticking out I was afraid it might damage the screws. I will try it when I get it back from Crimson Trace

With my CW9. I had a bad case of the laser moving off point just carrying in my pocket.
CT rep told me to just whack it on a hard surface before using.
What an intolerable response!
I've been trying to rectify the situation for a couple years.
I finally figured it out.
Remove the CT clamshell and remove the torx screw that retains the cover for the laser diode.
Drill a small hole through that cover so that you can look through it to see the diode.
Replace the cover and torx screw.
Remount the laser sight to the pistol.
Place the gun in a vise and set the laser sight to agree with a laser bore sighter, further the better.
Dismount the laser sight and with a hot glue gun, inject hot glue into the hole you made.
This locks the diode in place. If you have to take it apart again, the glue can be removed with a pick, it doesn't stick.
Remount the sight on the gun and verify the aim.
