That's great! I love the 40s and that opens up some interesting war bringback/surplus weapons, P.38s, Nambus, Webleys, M1 carbine, that were not seen before the war. One of my favorite postwar gangster type films is "Suddenly" with a young Frank Sinatra and Sterling Hayden. Sinatra uses a surplus German G43 rifle, if I remember correctly.

Oh I remember the nambu well, what a cheap as *** gun. P38 were around then but not as respected then as they are today. I had a MI carbine bought through the NRA DCM rpgram for $20 back then in the 60's. Came to me brand new even and for $20, I could not believe it. Kept it for 20 years and then sold it ona whim. One of the dummest thingsI ever done, as this was a brand new M1, Second dummest thing was I got married around the mid 60's..
