CW9 Mag release

Hey guys. I bought a new cw9 this week for concealed carry and promptly put 150 rounds through it.(after wiping all that oil of it) I have fairly large hands and was experiencing some inadvertent mag releases. After realizing what I was doing, I noticed that my thumb was just barely grazing the button,but the mag would still dump. Is there any tricks to make the spring stiffer? Or anybody who makes replacement springs that are?

spring is a straight rod, It is strong, change your thumb position. IMO ur thumb is more than barely grazing that release..

Give the gun and yourself more rounds down range and u will figure it out soon.:blah:

something u might want to check out thoughy is once the magazine is in the gun properly look at the right side of the grip and see if that mag button is flush with the frame as it should be. It that button is sticking out somewhat then the magazine releaseis not fully engaging that magazine. If its flush, then u need to change your grip somewhat..

Thanks Jocko. I qualified at the range with it today and experienced the same thing. I just held my right thumb out instead of up against the frame and the problem went away.
