I know that the front dust cover has a metal insert from left to right for the front of the slide to ride on, what about the rear metal inserts, is that an insert that goes left to right as well, u shaped per say? The pistol is a cw9, thanks for any info, Stan

REAR RAIL is one peace inbedded. can't move, can't do anything opther that what it is designed for. The rear rail on kahrs carrys most of the brunt of the guns action. front rails merely guide the slide correctly. I have NEVER seen or heard of ANY polymer kahr back rails going bad or coming out ofthe frame, Just not gonna happen. The CW9 is as good as they get,

The front rail on my PM-45 got sort of chewed up. I think it was mis-formed, perhaps too wide, dunno. The slide was jumping over the front rail. Karh made it right - and very quickly.
