After the SR9c came out I got to shot this at the range and it felt awesome. jlottmc convinced me to wait until the SR40c came out. WELL, IT'S HERE!!!!! I happened to be looking online yesterday doing research on something smaller that I can put in my pocket when I take the dog out, and saw the SR40c has been released. It's now on the Ruger website and it looks like it was just released June 29.....We're SOO excited. Looking forward to being able to handle one and hopefully shot it. If it's a shooters dream like the SR9c, I'm going to fall in love with it.

I have the SR9C and find myself more impressed every time that I shoot it. The trigger really sold me on the gun. IMHO, it is the best value in a compact 9 available. The SR40C is using the same internals as the SR9C so there is no doubt that it will be every bit as good as it's sibling and those that buy one will not be disappointed.

Problem here is that I have created a monster, and now will have to buy 2 of all the guns. I can't afford my habit, and now I have another habit to feed. Sheesh, what a mess. Oh well, at least she carries now, and will have options.

Yup, I've got 5 handguns and two hands.
Tell me the cure when you find it...

Have your feet replaced with two more hands then you can shoot 4 and have one for backup

Pray tell how do we cure the "I want a new gun-itis"? That bug is a killer.

Going thru a divorce has cured mine, wouldn't recommend it though.

Sadly, being retired on fixed (for now) income and living in a state, Connecticut, that has just had the biggest tax increases in its history also contributes to the cure. :(

Themanski - Divorce is when you pay a woman not to live with you, right? Somehow everyone I know that has gotten a divorce not only paid a sh*t load of money but lost other things as well. Houses, cars, dogs etc. Like the wise and omnipotent Diertich says, “Divorce is like getting kicked in the guts”. Hang on to as many of your toys as you can.

Trade something . . . preferably one of your wife's guns. :D
Of course, that may lead to Tom's (thetmanski) cure. Maybe not. :o

Right now she only has the CW45, not on the block. As far as trading some of mine, lets say that my safe is like a black hole for guns, they only come out for a little while, and never leave. I'll figure out a way to fund these, it just may take some time.

Yup, no cure.
I just sell or trade what I don't want anymore or have been neglecting in favor of my 1911s or Kahrs or Berettas or RIAs or............... :wof:
