I've been kicking around buying a CW45 for quite awhile. Read alot of the posts with problems the guys are/were having with this gun. I've almost got myself talked into buying one this weekend. I've got a PM9 that works flawlessly, but I'm about half scared I'll get a bad 45. I want to shoot a gun, not try to solve it's problems. I know that it's a small percentage of the guns sold, but what gives with the Kahrs? Are they trying to put too many guns out the door and easing up on quality control, or is it just this particular model doesn't get the attention that a P gun does?

I don't know but Kahr made it right for me and now I'm happy cause the CW45 is an AWESOME pistol in many ways.

Do you like it better than your Taurus PT 145?

I just got mine in today. I haven't fired it yet but, all seems in order after a strip and lube. I understand your concern, I'm going through a bit of a tussle with my Keltec PF-9 and that's driven me to find a new carry gun. I hope the CW 45 is it. BTW, Impactguns.com has them on sale for $399.99 and free shipping. Good luck!

I'm very happy with mine, I had to send it back to Kahr due to the trigger not resetting, and they had it back in my hands exactly 1 week later. Been working perfectly since then. Also had them put a bevel on the guide rod which makes it MUCH easier to put back together. It was a real bear to put that guide rod in place without the bevel.

I think it's the ideal ccw pistol it has a few fixes you might have to work through but once it goes into that IWB holster you will be glad that you bought it. It is very picky with ammo the 2 rounds I found work best are cci blazer 230gr rn & Rem Golden Saber .

My wife has one, I have an older P45, not a bad to way to go. As for the problems, remember we will hear about many more than anywhere else, nature of a brand dedicated forum and all. I say get one, prep it, and don't look back.

Mine hasn't had any problems beyond a couple of smokestacks.

It seems that most of us that have had problems with our CW45 have been able to get them running again with a quick trip back to Kahr. Mine was back exactly 1 week from the time it left, and has been flawless since return. So I am running 50/50 on my luck with Kahrs, one worked great out of the box, one had to go back, the first was a CW40, the 2nd the .45. As Jocko pointed out, that is a heck of a price for a high quality gun, that is very concealable. I really like my CW45 and glad I made the purchase even with it having to be sent back to Kahr.

I agree. I had some issues with my CW45, but got them worked out and believe it was well worth the effort. The gun was/is always dead nuts accurate and reliable now. The size, weight, and ergonomics are perfect for me. I like it so much that my favorite 1911 is wearing a .22 conversion.

Greg

Just ran my new one through 150 rounds at the range. It was flawless except the slide lock pin backed out a couple of times. I'm sure when I research the threads I'll find an easy fix. i love this gun. Very accurate and easy to shoot. Buy one! $366 is a great price.

My CW45 never had a problem, but I traded it on the PM45 when I wanted to go smaller.
