yeah interesting title but true!
Ok i went to a new outdoor range a friend found here in st louis (link provided) http://mdc.mo.gov/regions/st-louis/jay-henges-shooting-range
i only had the cw9 to shoot and 100 rounds of ammo to do it with so off we went one guy with an ar15 and some kind of 45 lol the other guy with a ruger lcp and .22 revolver.
The range was spectacular and well organized and run like clockwork with 5 minute sessions. I started off at 7 yards with my cw9 and put all 3 magazines in the center dot. (i shoot atleast once a week) the guy with the lcp couldnt hit the entire target lol. dunno how the .45 shooter was doing he was in the next lane. I shot at 7 yards 2 more times and it got boring because i hit the bullseye damn near everytime.
So we moved on to 15 yard and the pattern started to open up ofcorse, and i felt sorry for the lcp guy because he couldnt hit the target but with the .22 revolver he tore it up so i shot the lcp with similar results as the cw9 but alot more pain for me and my jacked up fingers lol. we shot for an hour and 20 minutes and we all got tired and decided to leave. next time i go i will take the video camera to show what a cool joint this is.

if it gets boring here's just some suggestions...
Move ithe target out farther. Of course if you can't see it, it's very difficult.
Try the weak hand.
Practice one hand drills.
Practice with spent cases loaded in the mags for twitch drills and FTF drills.
Just trying to help.

I only get tired of shooting when I run out of ammo.
That's so sad... :(

Good shooting NewKahrOwner (NKO?). Don't know if you already do it, but I practice for a SD situation where the initial round is what counts most. The time from go to the shot is a big deal in a gun fight, but so is shot placement, so that's what I work on. Aiming at 10' is like cheating because if you're looking at a BG with a gun coming at you you probably won't take your eyes off him to look in the sights.

the cw9 has a crimson trace laser on it for that reason but the way i was instructed to sight it was that it should be just behind the front sight so thats how it is. i cant see it unless i tip the nose of the gun up a wee bit. im going to get into some rapid draw stuff but for now i just want to extenf my range quite a bit as i dont have the ccw yet. i know if i were to do it now id be ready but im not certain if i want to carry the 45 or 9mm im deadly accurate with both at 14 yards but i just dont know. im so confused lol
