Shot two magazines of Winchester JHP yesterday morning (at our club range) from my CM9 concealed carry configuration, just like I would have to do if needed. Pulled the gun from a pocket holster, emptied one magazine plus the chambered round in to a target at 10 yards, dropped the mag, put in the backup as fast as I could, emptied it. Perfect, no problems. Carry weapon check done, loaded fresh ammo, put the CM9 gun away and proceeded with IDPA drills using a SIG P226.

I have put night sights on this CM9, front and rear, so this morning I returned to the range for a little quality time with a sight pusher and file, this time using inexpensive FMJ range ammo. Fired off 80 rounds total after relearning the trigger for single-hand shooting (left arm in sling after surgery). Finally got 5" groups at the center of zero ring, at 15 yards. Gun is done. I have the sights I wanted and everything works perfectly.

These little pistols are amazing. This morning was the first trip to the range where the entire session was dedicated to the CM9 only. I was so happy with the little gun that I was able to resist stopping to shoot the 1911 on the silhouette target range.

Shooter needs work, however, as I had an occasional high right flinch flier. Can't wait to get back to two-handed shooting! This is fun, even handicapped by recent surgery.

Congratulations!

I had two similar range sessions this weekend with the PM40's and a couple hundred rounds of Winchester Ranger JHP's. It is a very satisfying feeling, isn't it!? :D

Yes it is. VERY satisfying. I didn't quite have the fun you did with the couple hundred rounds of Winchester Ranger JHP's (you know you should share with your KahrTalk brothers!), but I had fun nonetheless. Congrats on the additional PM40 sidekick.

Well, come on down to Tucson and I will. Please allow me to recommend the winter months for your visit. The humidity was probably nearly 30% this morning, which seems muggy to us desert rats.

Congrats on the additional PM40 sidekick.
Thanks! Of course, you never know when SWMBO will decide one of them is "hers", with my blessing. ;)

30% HUMIDITY? I would pay money to have humidity that low. We averaged 65% and 95 degrees with thunderstorms in the afternoon last week. Want to trade?

Trade? Well, we could certainly use some of your moisture!

Happily, it rained this afternoon. According to our wireless rain gauge, we have received 0.20 inches. The accompanying temperature drop is also welcome and it makes weeding the mostly crushed rock "yard" easier.

I guess mankind is never completely happy, but Tucson weather comes as close as any single location can, except for places like Hawaii, of course.

If we win a big lottery, we will have to look at Hawaii. :D

All we have in West Texas are grass fires, but the grass is nearly all gone so that will soon stop. It's been a rough year here without any rain.
