Oh no. I went to a gun show today thinking I have everything I need and I saw a thing of beauty. A Sig 220 Elite nitron finish and rose wood grips. Oh it was beautiful. A real piece of art. The guy said it was new and it looked it. this table is generally known to be overpriced but this one seemed very reasonable. The cheapest I can find this gun online is more than $100 more than he was selling it for. I'm thinking about going back for second look tomorrow unless someone can tell me to not to go. The wife is out of town so no stoping me there. What does everyone think? You have 14 hour to stop me. Time is ticking........

Love the say the SIG trigger makes their guns shoot for me, but damn man, that thing weighs two pounds! Certainly a great range toy, but two pounds! You might as well get an alloy 1911. ;)

Yeah I have a 1911 but that sig just tickled me. I have got to stay away from places like that. Maybe I'll forget about it by in the morning.

My German 1996 build nickel P220 according to the specs of the time weighs 26 ozs. For a full sized 45 that's not bad. My Compact, polymer 2010 HK45C weighs 25.7 ozs and my new lightweight SA FS 1911 is 4 ozs heavier than the P220. BTW, I'm also a fan of the SIG triggers, but the newer HK's aren't bad.

Sounds like the new Dark Elite?
I think all Elite's come with the SRT short reset trigger.
Plus they are all (sans the Elite Stainless) alloy frame guns.
Not really that heavy at all for a full size 45.

want range report please

I have 10+ year old P220 with a stamped steel slide.
Nickel plated slide and controls.
I love it.

You can't go wrong with a classic Sig.

Well I'm starting to notice that no one is talking me out of this.

Man if the wife finds out............. she's gonna buy something expensive to get even.

Talk you out of a P220 - not going to happen.

Let her! Then you'll both be happy.

No call from your wife. From your last post, looked like you wanted have someone to tell you NO! Other than your wife.

But hey, if you really, really want the gun......let your conscience be your guide (quote Jimmy Cricket)

Go for it if you can afford it! Life is to short to pass up on guns you can get a good deal on. LOL, I'd put it in the gun cabinet and wife would never know.

I Missed it. Went to church this AM and by the time I got out family business called and the show ends at 4PM. Cant make it there in 30 minutes so I guess I'll have to make it next time.

On a side note, I got a call from the wife this morning and she has already been SHOPPING on her little vacation so getting the P220 would have been my get even purchase. I think I would have had to buy 2. She's been at the jewlery store. I'll have to hold this one in reserve for the next time.

To all thanks for your support!

Last time something like that happened to me
I got ^)^&)^ off, drove home for lunch,
and ordered the gun from 2,500 miles away over the net.
My MK40 Elite arrived two days later - Woo Hoo!

I'm ahead of you. I've already been looking at Bud's but none like I saw are in stock unless I want the stainless but I like that nitron better. I think I'm going to get on the notification list. I did figure out that the one at the show was a regular elite and not an elite carry. That's OK though.

Fat chance of that happening, it never works for me either.

I cant forget about it and I missed the show. It was only $789. I could have possibly got him down a little more. It had the SRT, night sights, and everything.:hurt:

I walked away from a used P220 for $500.00.
Naturally, it was gone a few days later after I slept on it.
When I came across a used P239 for $550.00 I almost walked
away to sleep on it. Fool me once, it happens. But I refuse to be fooled twice.
I turned around, snapped it up and I'm glad I did!

Maybe it was meant to be.
Maybe you'll just be forced to up grade!

I'll take that upgrade. I'm going to keep my eyes out for sure.
