Anyone loading for the cm9? If so could you help me out with what works for you?

I am loading berrys 115 grain bullets.

What over all length are you using for the cartrage?

Is there a minimum fps or cup pressure I should be working towards? Right now I am at 1010 fps.

Thanks

I would recommend you get your load data from a manual or powder manufacturer's site. But I have crony'ed some though my CM9 and they are usually about 100 FPS slower than the load data because of the shorter barrel.

You should use hard cast lead data for plated bullets, don't load them to hot.
I have not had any problems with malfunctions with 1.140-1.150
But again check a manual for the min oal of any load.

thanks. To be honest I wouldn't load any round without checking it in a load book. I just wanted to know if anyone had a load that worked well for them in the cm. I would then track it down to check it out. Yes I did check MCL in the book and I am well over the minimum with the shorter oal I am goin to use.

It's funny though. The Federal factory ammo runs fine. It's oal is 1.150. When I make my reloads the same length the run ok but not really. I think I has to do with the bullet shape, although they look the same. I am reseated to a shorter oal and will try them tomorrow. I am glad I can pick up off the shelf ammo and it will work. I am hoping the shorter oal of my reloads will allow them to work also. Not a heck of a lot of savings in reloading 9mm but it's better than nothin.

Yes a good load book is a must!! You can also refer to Berry's website for some general load data. I mostly use my Lee Modern Reloading Manual - 2nd Edition.
