Has anyone tried applying rubber cement to the poly of the cm9? I made a grip that works fine but I would like to use a little rubber cement to insure it won't move.
thanks

Yep! No problem with the solvent attacking the Kahr plastic . . . but, it really doesn't hold well. Try double backed tape. The stuff you buy at an office supply, clear, thin, and also non-injurious to the Kahr plastic works really well for me. You can fold back the slip-on grip to wrap it around the pistol's grip then fold the rubber grip back into place and you are good to go.
It can easily be removed later if you like, but will not shift under the grip, so it works really well. :)

SOLD thanks. I'll take a ride over to Staples tomorrow and pick some up.
Always better to ask first. Someone always has an answer that works.
thanks

Cool! I should have noted that it works best for me if I wrap the pistol's grip really tightly, slightly overlapping a single layer. It doesn't so much adhere to the pistol and grip it. Then the sticky outside does adhere well to the rubber grip. One layer basically disappears when you look at the installed rubber grip, even with a "ghetto grip" made from a bicycle inner tube. :)
I should add that a "-g-h-e-t-t-o--g-r-i-p- Kahr Tire grip" looks just fine on my LCP. But, on the Kahr . . . not quite up to the appearance of the PM40. ;)

Are you attaching a Hogue grip to the Kahr? I read somewhere that someone used "Skaters Tape". Its sticky on one side, and has a sand paper feel on the other. OR you can go to Lowes or Walmart and buy the Orbital 80 grit sand paper that is sticky on one side and use that as well :)

Ghetto Grip?? Hey, no call for names like that. I'm pretty picky about how my stuff looks, and I think my bike tube grips work perfectly and look fine... functional, decent looking, and FREE!!
I've picked up polymer Kahrs in gun shows and the grips feel just wrong to me now... too small and slick, while my tube grips feel perfect.
The K9's polymer grips are perfect and I haven't held a more perfect fitting pistol, though the bump on the front of the LaserGrips doesn't feel as good.

All in good fun, Wynn!
I have used bicycle inner tube grips on every one of my pocket pistols, including a Kahr CW40 and two PM40's. Their performance is great and they look good enough that I have seen at least one person offering them for sale on eBay and one of the other forums!
We may have to come up with some new terminology . . . maybe: Velo-Grips in deference to their bicycle part heritage. Or: Re-Cycle Grips as a reflection of their cycling heritage and "100% recycled" properties.
The possibilities are endless . . . :D
Edited to add: How about Wynn-Grips . . . as a reflection of their winning combination of cost effectiveness and performance? ;)

It's funny how ya come up with uses for stuff. My grips on my bike were warn out. I tried to get replacements but they were goin to cost about 80 bucks! I put two layers of inner tube over the old grips and it is working great. I always keep a couple of ole tubes around. They make good tie downs in a pinch also.

The proper name for it is a Kahr Tire :32:

Too bad I can't take credit for the name. Not sure where I saw it at but sounds too good not to use.
And yes, I now use one too. Started with a Houge but really did not like it that much.

I rarely feel the need to use a glove when shooting. I shot all of my .45's the other day and never felt uncomfortable... on the verge of pain or anything after quickly shooting over 250 rounds... with about 50 0f those SD ammo... just the big old S.E. grin!
Whoa! Wifey's back from her shopping and ready to go to Lowe's with me and look at flooring and stuff for the as-yet-uninstalled-new-front-door-with-sidepanel.

Yep, the K9 is just about the nicest grip I have ever held.

The bicycle inner tube has been known as a Glock Sock forever and I coined it the Kahr Tire for our use a while back here on kahrtalk.
And to repeat what I said in the other grip thread, hair spray is the best grip adhesive and adds no bulk.
just sayin'
