Melissa and I were at our favorite little Italian restaurant last night and she said she was going to try out her reloads maybe as early as this afternoon. She added that she would post about it in the reloading forum when she did.

Nope. Sometimes you get a quicker response or the information you're looking for just by posting a new thread. :typing:

I am very happy to report that there were no kabooms!
I shot the reloads (50 rounds) this afternoon in my new to me Colt New Agent. They all did what they were supposed to and I was very pleased with the New Agent. Although it has an alloy frame, the recoil wasn't that bad with my middle of the road reloads.
My go-to guy at the range said that I need to back off the crimp a little bit though.
I want to thank everyone who encouraged me to reload and gave me invaluable advice. :D I'm sure I'll have more questions in the future.

Got to handle one of the New Agent Colts, very impressive. Still bigger than the PM45

Very good to read. Glad that there were no kabooms or failures to fire or stuck bullets, etc.

I really think overcrimping is the most common mistake new reloaders make when loading for automatic pistols. The name itself is confusing, since you don't really want a crimp, just to straighten the mouth of the case.
