Yesterday my wife and I were at Subway, when we went to sit down, my high noon IWB holsters metal clip slipped around one of the supports on the back upright on the chair, pinning me to the chair. It was a very odd sensation, and I knew I was stuck but did not really know why for a few seconds. No one else noticed even my wife and after a few seconds I managed to unclip myself.
Could have been a touchy situation in a crowded restaurant. Has anyone else had this happen?

NO... that's kind of weird, but stuff happens! Glad you had no "incident"! In Florida, NOW, we're protected against inadvertent exposure, but some places there are still a$$#0^3$ that look for things like that to call the cops and report "man with a gun" which usually gets you a ride downtown and a fine or something!

This very sort of fun is just what prompted me to go to pocket carry.
It's kind of a weight off my shoulders not having to worry at all about
concealment.

Not with a gun or holster, but I have a chain on my wallet in case it falls out while I'm riding the bike, and that dang chain will get stuck in the darnedest places, benches made of slats are extremely bad. I've literally spent up to 5 minutes (well it seems that long when you are stuck) trying to figure out how I got attached to something. It could be trouble as my gun usually rides above my wallet pocket, so I don't like attention focused on that region of my body.

I've not been trapped, however I have had the clip snag on things. This is why I no longer wear clip-on holsters. Only loops and/or straps for me.

No loop ons, strap ons, clip ons or snapons for me. Remora holsters stay put comfortably, can be moved from IWB to the front pocket when necessary and are inexpensive.

Before I started pocketcarrying I carried in the small of my back and was shopping in WalMart. My shirt was untucked but I leaned way over the top of the shopping cart to drop a grocery item in the cart. Suddenly, I realized that my shirt was riding-up over my waistband. Quickly, I straightened-up and glanced behind me. There was a young lady standing there. I smiled sheepishly and she just grinned altho I knew she had seen at least a glimpse of my handgun. After that I decided to pocketcarry, at least in most day-to-day situations.

What if your wallet hopped out and into the spokes of your wheel... or chain drive, if you have that... or catches on something else... like wearing a tie or long hair... stuff can happen... painful, sometimes fatal stuff!

Another problem I have had with my metal clip is I sometimes clumsily rake it against something as I am walking past, like a door frame. It makes a scraping sound which (so far) if anyone else has ever noticed they have not said anything about. It is probably only a matter of time before I do something really stupid and expensive like scratch the side of my car getting in or out of it.
Having said that though, iwb carry with a tucked shirt is the system I much prefer personally.

IMO, if you are going for total concealment with a tuckable IWB holster, the visible clip on your belt defeats the purpose big time. Let me suggest something: look at the Crossbreed MiniTuck (http://crossbreedholsters.com/MiniTuck/tabid/91/List/0/ProductID/6/CategoryID/1/Level/1/Default.aspx?SortField=ProductName,ProductName), and get the Velcro V-clips. I think they include one or more strips of Velcro to glue to the back of your belt. If not, you can get some easily. Everybody that has this holster really loves it, and IMO, the Velcro option perfects the total concealment.

I've had that happen before, thing of mine that normally hangs up is my Leatherman/flashlight/crescent wrench rig that I always have. That gets annoying fast. I'm working on one for an actual Leatherman now and will likely mod the design.
