I would like some opinions on independence ammo if any one has experience with it, or if you have knowledge of it. Thanks in advance.

From what I've heard it's a super budget line from ATK, which is the parent of both Speer and Federal. I think it used to be made by Magtec in Brazil, but is now manufactured in the US.

I heard several complaints that it's dirty and sometimes the crimping isn't up to par, but some say it's Okay. I've never used it, but I'm particular about my ammo.

I've used it once or twice, and didn't have any issues with it other then it being on the dirty side.

While it's not/wouldn't be my first choice, if that was all that was around (or the price was too good to pass up) I'd use it and not worry about it.

Their .380 FMJ ammo does not work well in my LCP. Fail to extract and fail to go fully into battery issues. That is the only ammo I have ever had feed problems with in that gun even with other DIRTY ammo that I shot back during the shortage a year or 2 ago.

Cheap but functionally iffy and very dirty.

Stopped at my dealers today and picked up two 50 rd boxes of .380 to try it. He gave them to me for 14.95+tax a box. Pretty cheap I thought. It has Blazer stamped on the bottom of the casing. I will try it and give a report later. At that price i'm hoping it shoots as good as the WWB.

I shot a box of .45 last week - no problems. It seemed to be loaded a little stouter than WWB or Federal, but it ran fine and was accurate out of my Colt Gold Cup.

I ran a couple boxes of 38 special through my .357's and it worked fine. I couldn't say if it was any dirtier or not than the other ammo I was using at the time, mostly reloads and cheaper stuff from gun shows.

I've used it in my CW9 and have never had a problem with it. It is on the dirty side, but I don't care since I only use it for practice.

Got some at the range when we ran out of 45 acp. Every round fired but it was pretty dirty. I don't know about accuracy because I'm a lousy shot.
