All of my going back and forth between CM9, PM9, P380. I just got tired of analyzing it and just placed the CM9 order with Bud's ($417). Can't wait to follow the jocko clean/lube/break in instructions and get that thing shootin'.
-Planning to buy bulk Speer Lawman 115gr. I always buy Speer Lawman and it has always worked for me in the past.
-Remora no clip holster
-Leaning towards the A Grip?
-Gotta buy the extra 6rd mag. Best place to buy it?
-Any other words of wisdom that I need to know?
Thanks to all for getting me through this process. Now the break in fun begins.

Ya did good Hog!! The CM9 is a terrific gun and would have picked it in a heartbeat if it had been available a couple years ago.
Most of the inexpensive ammo is good for break-in, just do the prep and run it a bit wet to compensate for the added friction mating the parts. If you are handy you might do a little polishing of the feed ramp & chamber, as well as the lube point 6 and top leading edge of the barrel hood. They both should be shiny and slick so rub grease into them. Polishing Lube Point 6 reduces slide friction which should help it get home with vigor. The ramp polish should help it feed faster and smoother.
You're getting a fine machine so enjoy once you get it. Let us know how it goes - wee never get tired of reading those range reports.

I just got a CM9 from Bud's as well. Good choice! I put 225 flawless rounds through it yesterday. I think the pre-break-in really helped. Racking the slide... and I sanded the followers a little.
I picked up 2 magazines (a 6 and a 7 round) from http://www.ivanhoeoutlet.com/. The cheapest I could find.
Next up is swaping the front sight for a trijicon.

a poster emaiedl me a couple days ago and told me he bought a cm9 and didn't read the manual or even know about this forum but took it right out to shoot it and had all kinds of issues. He was pissed to say the least. He found our fourmj and read the kahr tech section and the propper prepping of ur new kahr. and he reported that doing all the tihings he was told in the thread, he found the magazine spring was in backwards, He put it in properly and reports a flawless gun. He praised the kahr lube chart and GB6491 tutorial also. So forme when we ask a person to review the kahr tech section and read those sticky's is is to helpmake that first range trip a fun one. Never trust what comes out of the box to be correct. Most all are but "verify". It would be tragic to send a good gun back to kahr for issuers that were later found to be a magazine spring in backwards, and I am sure guns have went back for things like that to.

Ressom or any other CM9 & PM9 owners. I am hoping the feed ramp is as nice on the CM9 as it is the PM9. With the different barrel I was afraid that Kahr saved some money on fit & finish. Pics/compare would be appreciated. I always double-think these things!

nope ther barrel finish willbe the same , barrel polish willbe the same.. both barrels willbe nickel plated also. They didn'tcheapen the gun mr friend. All the internals are the same, all internals are interchangeable with the PM9 and most all othe rkahrs to. U got a dandy gun coming in. Take ur time withit, prep it right, u will learn more doing it that way to. then just shoot it like u stole it..

Hmm. As I remember it, I was the only one advising you to buy the CM9 whom you rudely snapped at. :frown:
Good luck with your gun.

Really? I don't recall snapping at anyone or being rude? I apologize if I came across that way but I honestly don't remember having any negative conversations on this forum?

JFootin,
I went back and read all of my posts and my reply to your advice was not meant to be snappy or rude. I was just learning about the Kahrs and honestly trying go get as much info as possible. I was weighing the pros/cons on each pistol. My comment about there being many posts already on the topic was to explain that I had not taken the time to read all I could yet on the Kahr. No offense was meant and I am sorry you took it that way.

OK here is the solution. standback to back each take 10 paces, turn and fire your kel tec 9mm. each will go click, click, drop guns shake hands, drink beer over it . (lots of beer) Life is good.

I agree with that. I guess sometimes things don't come out on these forums the way you mean it. I honestly appreciate everyone's opinion and expertise on here. This will be my first Kahr and I certainly don't want to be viewed as trouble.

no problem. we understand, hell I just put my foot in my mouth earlier here, sh-t happens. I can assure u J fottin is cool with it, He is a super nice guy. Sometimes we tend (myself included) to wear our feelings on the end of our sleeves. Lately I have beenwearing sleevless shirts and it seems to work real fine. Not sure what I will do this winter.
