Picked up a CM9 last Saturday. After hearing some good things about Kahr pistols. I decided to give one a try.

The mag released with tons of drag. That was NOT acceptable for me. But after finding a thread here about swell at the top of the mags. A quick check confirmed that was my problem. Quick pinch with the channellocks, problem solved!

Now for the best part. I expected it to be pretty snappy. After having owned a Kel-Tech PF9. Definitely not the case with the kahr. Minimal recoil, and drops right back down to my aim point.

In the past week I have put 850 rounds through the pistol. Not a single issue. Varied FMJ stuff for the first 200 rounds. Blazer, PMC, Winchester, and Remington. This thing eats everything I put in it.

For carry rounds. I varied these also. Cor-Bon, Winchester Supreme Elite, Federal HST, and Hornady TAP FDP.

The 124 grain Hornady TAP was by far the most accurate in my gun (yours may differ).

Well after a week on the trigger 0 reliability issues. And 850 rounds down range. The CM9 has proven itself as a keeper. And will be the new EDC of choice.

Welcome to the forum. Hope mine performs as well as yours when I get to the range. Got a little strained arm muscle problem right now an waiting for it to clear up.

Stumprat--I'm a SIG guy but own a PM40 and a CM9. Love'em both. Shot the PM40 today 8" groups at 25 yards. Very happy with it and the CM9. Glad you got in so many rounds the first week!

Great pistols aren't they! My PM9 has only a few hundred down range but hasn't missed a lick.

Good to hear! I am loving mine and it has been trouble-free after a few break-in hiccups in the first 50 rounds.

Another 150 rounds through her this afternoon. Purposely shot the gun dirty. Still cycled like a peach.
Guess it's time to retire the bigger pistols to range use. This thing carries so comfortably!

I am new to Kahr pistols. What is all the hype about slingshoting rounds? Mine works as well as any of my other pistols. I never use the slide lock to load.

Some folks have problems. I think the thing is to make sure on a kahr to pull it all the way back and not ride the slide forward. My CM9 works well without using the slide release.

So far the CM9 is sitting at 1600 rounds through it. Functions and cycles like a dream. The wife and I will be getting in another 200 rounds tomorrow. So far so good.

The only flaw I can find with it so far. Is with the magazines. Kahr makes a heck of a carry pistol. But they sure seem to drop the ball with the mags. None of my other pistols required any tweaking to get clean mag. drops. I have 3 mags. all 6 round. They all fit too snug. And none seem to fit very flush.

Oh well, guess it's a small price to pay. Seems to shoot well. And carries very comfortably.

1600 with no issues is good. Gives confidence for the CM9 over all given some of the issues that have came up lately. I'm as happy as you are about it.

Another 200 rounds through it today.
The wife now wants one of her own.
Happy to report that after a little tweaking. All 3 mags. Are dropping like they should.

Anybody found decent mag pouches for the 6 round mags? Looked at the Fobus single stack paddle mag pouches today. Any reports on how they conceal under an untucked shirt?

This isn't exactly an answer to your Fobus question bit I recently picked up 4 new 4" nylon pocket knife belt sheath pouches on e-Bay that fit the 6 round 9mm mag great. These have a closure and are NOT open for quick reloads but what I wanted was something to use to carry around spare mags on my belt.

The price was cheap (4 for $5.50 with free shipping) so I thought that I'd give them a try and they work fine for my use.

A belated welcome to the forum! May I suggest that you look at the mag pouches offered by Remora Holsters? I purchased one of their holsters for a slightly larger firearm than a Kahr with a sceptical slant. They also sell magpouches that are quite reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they stay in place (both the holster and mag pouches - which can also be pocketed ) but YMMV.

Ordered the Remora mag pouches. Thanks for the tip.

After speaking with the owner of Remora Holsters on the phone. I ordered a double mag pouch for IWB weak side carry. And also a single mag pouch for pocket carry. The pouches fit the 6 round mags perfectly. And carry very comfortably.

If any of you are in the market for CCW mag pouches. I can highly reccomend Remora. Customer service was great. And the product was built and shipped 2 days from order.
