hey fellas....i was able to get out to the farm and do some shooting with my new cm9.when i first got it i cleaned it,greased her up,rack the slide i dont know how many times, polished the feedramp, put a fiber front sight on it and cleaned it up.
i was very impressed with it....trigger was smooth,a little long but that was expected....and i really like the fiber optic sight.the gun shot good from 5 to 15yds as i was shooting homemade targets from 8x11 paper.the only problem i had was with the 6 round clip never failed....prob around 75 rounds.....but for the 7 round clip i have that is a kahr clip for it would jam about every other clip and i shot about 65 rounds.what can i do to solve this?io was shooting winchester 9mm 115g full.thanks for the advice in advance.

Nice looking pistol! I'm glad it is working well with the flush magazine. :D
Admittedly, I like the longer magazine that came with my PM40 for use at the range. Mine work perfectly now, but hung up a bit at first.
You may have already noticed from your reading hear that the first round, upon insertion, often feeds more reliably using the slide release, at least until the gun is well broken in.
The other common issue with Kahr magazines is a tendency for the follower to hangup on the magazine catch while feeding the second or third round. If that is your experience, you can sand a little clearance into the follower. You will notice that there is a relief already molded in, but sometimes it is not deep enough.
Best of luck! It's always nice when a new pistol is mostly trouble free like yours. :)

I believe the 7 rounders have been giving the "pm and mk" series guns a fit as well every now and then

nice front fiber sight!i decided to go with the trijicon night sight set!their a nice sapphire blue!also went with the rubber decal grips instead of what you went with.i purchased all items from kahr arms online including pm9 slide stop, crossbreed mini-tuck,and(2)seven round k820 magazines.i may get one more six round magazine and a destantis supersticky pocket holster for pocket carry in some cases.good luck with yours!

has anybody flip the spring upside down on the 7round mag to see if it helps with jamming?
thanks fellas for the comments.

Accidentally, I'm sure I have done that on my extended PM40 mag, It works just fine either way for me, so give it a try.

Glad you had mostly success with your CM9.
I thought that changing sites on the Kahrs was a real bear, you were able to do yours without much trouble? Oops, think that is maybe true of the dovetailed sights and not the pin ones, right?
I fixed my PM9 7 round mag problem by having Kahr exchange it for 6 rounder. Problem solved! :)

I don't think there is a difference with the two ends of the mag springs. So fliping them would be fine. I think the only wrong thing is if were installed backwards... i.e. so the spring end does not follow the follower and base pad.

the front site on the cm9 is a 5min job....really easy.i think the rear would be a pain to switch though....and the front are pinned.
i called kahr on it today and they said it could be from the grip of the gun...i told them im not changing my grip as i shoot well with it so they will exchange my seven for a six....so i may go that route.

I had the same problem with my 7 round mags, almost FTF every first or second shot. I had already done all of the follower mods and it still did the nose dive deal. I felt that the springs in my 7 round mags were putting too much pressure on the cartridges making them too difficult to strip out of the mag. I cut 2 coils off of the springs and have only had 1 FTF since I did that. Put your 6 round mag spring in your 7 round mag which is the same length as the ones I cut and see if it does the same for you.

what quick draw says seems to be a cure for some, If u cut one coil off the 7 round spring u basicaly have the 6 round mag spring. buy your mag springs from wolffs for your kahrs...
I am hesitant to say that is the real fix and IMO, the extended length of the magazine wtith some shooters and some guns, due possable mag well variations, cause the magazine to present the rounds at the wrong angle, where as a flush fit seems to never give issues.
send the 7 round fokker back and get a 6 round flush fit replaceent and never look back IMO u boughgt the PM9 for concealment, so keep it that way and a grip on the 7 round magazine gives the shooter a different feel completrely than the 6 round flush fit, and there fore u probalby will shoot differently with each. Beside being a butt ugly magazine also.:behindsofa:

When using my CW9 mags in my CM9 I was getting nose dives into the feed ramp.. I attributed this to that I was pulling the bottom of the mag and that was pushing the top of the mag into the feed ramp..Kahrs are tight and I figured the tolerance could not handle that little movement.. Never a issue with my flush mags..
