Anyone have any practical experiance using Sellier & Bellot ammo in a Kahr (or in anything else for that matter?)

I'm through the break-in period and feeding rounds just fine in my CW45, I'd like to start running different brands through it and see what this one like best before I stock up. Being the cheap guy I am, I figured I'd ask first and see if anyone has and good or bad experiances with this stuff first. I did search the forums.

I'm hoping it works out, ATG has a screaming deal on it right now (50rds/ $17, 1000/$320) and I'm funny about buying more than I need.

Thanks in advance

I have shot a about 1500 rounds of the 9mm Sellier & Bellot POLICE 115gr. FMJ Ammo in my Kahr PM9 and S&W 39-2 in the last year no issues with the ammo in either gun

I`ve shot S&B ammunition quite a bit over the last couple of years in my PM9 and my Glock 19.I have had no problems with it at all.The spent cases reload well too.Good all around ammo as far as I`m concerned.I have often wondered what is the correct way to pronounce it though.

I have not used S&B in my PM9 but have shot several hundred rounds thru my current pocket 380.
It's good ammo.

Made in Czech Republic... I've shot a few boxes... and reloaded some... It's all worked fine for me. Link:

Shot a lot of 9mm and 38special S&B. Worked ok in my Browning HP's and SP101.

Power levels were unremarkable. Neither hot or slo-poke ammo. Just run of the mill, not too dirty ammo. There could be some claim to accuracy or what not, but I didn't notice anything in that department either.

I've used S&B as practice ammo in various calibers for the last 2 or 3 years and had no problems. Usually one of the cheaper brass cased choices. They have started putting out some XTP hollow point loads aimed at serious social purposes, but I think I'll give it a pass and stick to CorBon.

Many of the big names (winchester comes to mind first) use them for over runs, or orders that they can't fill. It's fine, and it works fine. No worries on it.

Excellent, thank you all very much for your responses! I'm going to go ahead and grab some up while its on sale. If I have any problems in my CW45, I'll post up but with replies like that I doubt I'll encounter any.

Igor (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001204/): Dr. Frankenstein...
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000698/): "Fronkensteen."
Igor (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001204/): You're putting me on.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000698/): No, it's pronounced "Fronkensteen."
Igor (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001204/): Do you also say "Froaderick"?
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000698/): No... "Frederick."
Igor (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001204/): Well, why isn't it "Froaderick Fronkensteen"?
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000698/): It isn't; it's "Frederick Fronkensteen."
Igor (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001204/): I see.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000698/): You must be Igor.
[He pronounces it ee-gor]
Igor (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001204/): No, it's pronounced "eye-gor."
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000698/): But they told me it was "ee-gor."
Igor (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001204/): Well, they were wrong then, weren't they?

Definitely just range ammo.
I use it when the price is right.

It's also made in Brazil, not just Czech...

Works fine for me, I haven't tried the police loads.. Wondering about it.
Almost sounds like the Police load is a +P load.. Not sure on the descriptions.

380 works fine for me - so does 9mm and 45 acp but some of it is "police" loads in 9mm which are more like +p (whch Kahr can handle) so you should look to know what you are getting if you buy online. The bullets are generally a little more "pointy" and feed good. The primers can be harder like a lot of Euro primers so I wouldn't use it for defense. They use a red primer seal which gets on your slide face but it comes right off in cleaning. Good price for practice ammo!

Definitely just range ammo.... (snipped)

how so? I assume anything not JHP is "just range ammo". have you encountered issues?

S&B is perfectly fine ammo.
In fact I just ordered a bunch from Sportsmansguide because you can include their limited time free shipping.
Got plenty in 9mm and 380.

Good stuff. I have shot thousands of rounds of the 230 grain .45 ACP ball ammo referenced in your link, with great accuracy, in my 1911's.

It has been quite a while since I needed to purchase any but, that price seems very good. Buying by the case is the way to go. The price of ammo has yet to fall after I've purchased it. ;)

my latest ammo buy... before Christmas... a Cabela's backorder.... was for 1000 rounds... 20 boxes of 50 for $14.99 a box shipped to my door... free shipping deal and no taxes... $299.80 shipped to my door for .45 ACP 230-gr FMJ... great range fodder!

It's 20-21 bucks plus shipping now.

I just told someone on XDtalk about SGA for cheap American ammo... at the moment... Blazers under $15 a box of 50... for .45 ACP. I'll buy American unless I can get decent ammo cheaper... brass-cased so someone can re-use the brass. The S&B is the only one that I use from out of this country... as is my XD45, though imported by Springfield Arms.

Yeah I was surprised that the XD is not made here. Found that out doing my research today. I looked hard at Kahr's TP 45 but it is not on the Calif approved list. Hmmm Calif politics over putting Americans to work. How nice.

My SA Champion was made here in the U.S.A., not Brazil, but the Xd's are made in Croatia. It's not a problem for me. I think that it's the only non-American-made gun that I have... except for the Charles Daly Tactical Semi-Auto 12-gauge.

I've never had any problems with it. Seems just as good as any other inexpensive target ammo.
