Lone Wolfe's Story - "This Side of a Tombstone" (http://www.glocktalk.com/forums/showpost.php?p=17470731&postcount=7482)

I've mentioned before about following the posting on Glock Talk of Lone Wolfe who was shot in Afghanistan and, after 2 years is still having a difficult recovery. The thread has 197 pages, 7868 Posts and 214,620 views as of now.

One follower, BobInTX, has been collecting her story and posted the crux of it in the post linked above. It's kinda like a news reporter version after seeing the hell she has gone through which is not included in the story.

We talk about what caliber, bullet, expansion, stopping power like we were shooting blocks of ballistics gel. The full thread is the reality of getting shot by an AK-47 at close range and the damage both physical and mental it can cause.

The above post is certainly worth the read, then take a moment to say a prayer for our soldiers in conflict because they are in the real deal - and it sucks!

I`ve followed the thread on Lone Wolfe as best I could on Glocktalk.I`m glad you posted the story here so others can get familiar with it.Our soldiers, sailors and marines are asked to sacrifice so much and they do so willingly. We need to do more to help them.
