I bought the CM9 yesterday. $469 plus tax. Took it apart and cleaned according to break in thread. Followed lube diagram and re assembled. Had to put a glove on while racking the slide the prescribed 500 times. I found the grooves on side of slide to be very aggressive which I think is great. Took it to the range today with what I thought was 200 rounds. Ended up having a partial box so I only ran 182 rounds through it. It ran through the 182 without a hiccup. I cant believe how good it performs. I just need to go back and shoot some hollow points through it now. Thanks for the recommendations and great reviews, if not for them I would have passed on this fine little gun.

Congratulations on your break-in. Those little PM/CMs are great guns.

Welcome to KahrTalk!
You got a good one. What SD ammo are you thinking of feeding your CM9?

Greetings from just down the road in Dutchtown.
Congrats on your new gun I’m sure you’re going to love it my CW9 has been great so far, I too spent some time here before buying it about a month ago. I just ran 3 different types of JHP through for the first time yesterday with only one miss feed from a Hornady round-Cor Bon DPX and Speer GD were flawless.
BTW I just found out about the range opening up on Airline in Prairieville sometime around the end of the year. It’ll be great to have something so close to home. Shoot them an email and you’ll get info about an early bird reduced rate on a membership before they open.

Welcome. That little pistol will grow on you. I'm using Speer Gd's 124 +P in mine and they feed well.

I was looking through my ammo and all I have is Winchester Ranger 127 grain SXT's, +P+. I guess I will be going to cabela's tomorrow to look for some Golden sabers or Speer Gold Dots. They seem to work fine in my other pistols. Thanks for the heads up on Geaux Shooting, Espresso. I shot at Precision in BR today. It would be nice to have a place close by. Thanks for the replies and I will post a follow up with the hollow points.

yes and no, kahrs says not to feed it that, some do but I have no doubt the gun can take it as ur not gonna feed it a steady diet of that stuff due to cost. but my question is WHY, most all 9mm defense is +P ammo and what is out threre in +P+ , we don't see alot of bragging on. and if u so desire that much more power, why not buy the PM40, same sizxe gun and just be done with it.
I always qeuston why we tend to want to over step the boundaries of many products

ur magazine follower grabbing the magazine release at around round 2-3.that is when the follower is in the window of the magazine cut out and sometimes engages that magazine release lever.
I am sure you have read the kahr trech section and hit on propper preppi8ng of ur new kahr and read the fix of this. It is a no brainer. every easy to test out ..

I read the manual and I did not see anything about not using +P+ . I have 100 rds Winchester Ranger +P+ SXT given to me by a friendly LEO. Don't want to destroy my new gun though. I thought all new gun can handle +P or +P+ .

u need to read more, most new guns don't recommend +P+ for there is no industry standard for the round, so basically anything goes. Its ur gun, u do what u want
.A. Kahr Arms does not endorse any particular brand of ammunition. However, not every brand of ammunition produces the same results. Please check the markings on the barrel hood of your firearm to determine the proper caliber. Kahr suggests a visit to a pistol range to test fire different brands of ammunition in the proper caliber. Kahr cautions against the use of reloads. Lead (unjacketed) bullets can cause excessive fouling and extra attention to cleaning the bore is recommended after firing lead bullets. The Kahr pistol is rated to +P.

I would assume that being they state nothing about +P+ they mean they don't endorse it.

While it works ok in most things in life when it comes to guns, C4, pipebombs or explosives in general I would reevaluate your logic in thinking if it doesn't say it's not ok it must be ok.
This is why there are 700 words of warnings all over otherwise pretty guns.
Kahrs are tough, my PM45 survived a double charge of W231. (I goofed). Didn't phase it a bit.
Jocko said it well, +P+ is off the scale so no one can actually come out and say it's ok. It probably is, but nobody is going to say so since theres no set standard.
It's of course totally your call, it would handle it in fine fashion (but I didn't say that). I personally and this is of course just me don't mess with even +P in any of my guns. I get along just fine with standard pressure loads.

As soon as I hit the post button I felt bad. In rereading my post it sounded like I was talking down to you. That was not my intention at all but I hate to think of injuries or damaged guns that can easily be avoided.
Standard or +P is the way to go. Let us know how it all works out.
Your freindly LEO was nice and meant well but he's probably shooting it thru a full size duty gun and probably as Jocko mentioned earlier, not a steady diet of it for training and practice either.

I thought and bought +P because I wanted all the oomph I could get. Reading the stats on it, the Ranger +P T Series velocity = 1180ft/sec & +P+ T Series = 1250 ft/sec. That's a 70 ft/sec gain which I wouldn't go out of my way for but if handed a couple free boxes would shoot. I high;y doubt the pressure difference to gain 70 ft/sec is going to break your CW9.
Check it out here. (http://www.winchester.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/flash-SWFs/law_bullit.swf)

oh my the power of advertising, if Old lincopln is right 70fps more is nadda, zero, nothing, other than hyped advertising. If there is a standard for +P ammo then if u make a round 10fps faster, I guess u could label it +P+ as that is above industry standards. Is there a gain, maybe in some rounds, maybe not. oh yes we are all sucke din by the OWER OF ADVERTISING. We are always wanting to go to the edge with damn near anything..
