not sure if you can pull this site up but here is a diagram of kahrs patent witht he one peace steel insert in the front dust cover and how the polymer is molded around it. The buldge is there by design.

I am sure you made this easy as I fought it all evening to no avail. again thank you. This really shows how that front and rear steel rails are inbedded in the polymer grip. And I have been told by Kahr that the so called "buldge" is there by design and that they did not want to get into the details of why and how but it was there by design.. And that they have never had either steel inbedded rails ever to come loose or break out of the polymer frame...
