View Full Version : zero energy striker fire
Diamond Back claims their strikers have no tension on the spring when chambered. Does Kahr have a similar setup when a shell is chambered. Thanks. Russ

When racked to load the chamber, Kahr leave a striker tension that is not enough to fire the primer, but allows the trigger pull to be fairly light and very smooth.
The striker is also blocked with a dual cam system attached to the trigger. When the trigger is pulled it pulls back the striker to 100%, unlocks the sheer safety, and releases the striker.
Kakr like all modern manufacturers, must pass rigorous drop tests and other safety tests before they may be sold. Their reputation for safety is good and you can feel very safe carrying with one in the chamber.
