While I'm sure this issue has been beat to death, I am curious as to general thoughts on using reloads in the Kahr handguns, particularly the P9. Quality stuff as far as reloads go.

I reload & shoot reloads in all my guns. I do use jacketed bullets in my Kahrs & Glock because of the rifling.

My brother does reloads (124 FMJ) for me to use in my Glock 26 and PM9. The only real issue is the occasional hard primer that needs a second strike or for some reason will not fire at all. Actually a good thing for practice when it happens. To help make 9mm reloads more cost effective we'll buy the cheapest primers we can find which, if I remember correctly, are usually Chinese or Russian made.

I didn't look that hard, but I was looking for some commercial reloads at the gun show. Those I saw were $26 for 50!! I got Blazer 230-gr FMJ Aluminum-cased at Cabela's for $15.99 and $5 shipping! The brass-cased MFS was $15.88 and I got a box on my next order of the Herter's .380($139.99/500) for testing when I get a chance. I didn't want to buy 500 rounds untested. I have tried the Blazers before in my PM45.
Cabela's has a $20 off a $150 or more purchase now... one of their better deals, especially when you're buying ammo on sale at the best prices. I watch for deals and am ready to leap when I see a good one.

We had a maintenance man, a nonshooter, @ our gun club. He came up to me & handed me a box of shotgun shells. He said,"Here, Jer. I found these." I thanked him & looked @ them. They were reloads. As soon as he left, they went in the trash barrel!
