Guess that's what happens when you follow the boss's orders and the SHTF. They try to hide you somewhere else.

Paper says Kenneth Melson will be moving on to become the senior adviser on forensic science in the departments Office of Legal Policy....:der:...I suppose that section of the ATF trys to figure out what happens when you give automatic weapons to a bunch of ruthless animals and end result is that a lot of people including a U.S. Border Patrol Agent get shot to pieces and killed and then you have to figure out how to spin the issue, legally of course....My office is in a complex that houses the Atlanta ATF Headquarters in one building and the Atlanta FBI Headquarters across the street...The ATF has a huge Command Center Truck parked outside that had to cost several hundred thousand dollars and it never moves along with 2 tricked out 4x4 pickups, a 4x4 van and a fleet of cars that are almost never used...In the FBI compound lot is another Command Center truck just like it along with several motor homes, a fleet of brand new cars, boats, water craft, vans, bucket trucks, a helicopter, an ultralight airplane and even a mini submarine!!! All this equipment is for surveillance purposes I suppose but the last time I checked Atlanta is not very close to the ocean so not sure why they need a mini sub but if the need ever arises they got that angle covered...It seems there is no budget limit or shortfall when it comed to Federal Law Enforcement and they are given a blank check and when it comes to the ATF, very little if any supervision...Your out of control Federal Government and Tax Dollars at work my friends......I'll get off my soap box now...

An ultra light airplane? A mini sub???? It's like the man in control of building maintenence at a company I worked for told me once, he has to use ALL the money in his budget, or else they'll cut it and he doesn't want that to happen, so he had all manner of useless projects going on. I'm sure govt. agencies do the same thing.

I was told by someone one time that once you screw up bad enough they but you in a position to tell others how to do the job you couldn't do yourself. Looks like it may be true. An advisor. In my profession they are called staff jobs (but I think they should spell it staph to more fit what they really do)
