hello all. i need a belt and found a 5.11 tactical leather stitched casual reinforced belt on ebay for 16.20 shipping included. i don't own any 5.11 tactical gear mainly because the stuffs expensive but 16.20 for a 45.00 belt seemed like a good deal.

That's a great deal. A good belt makes all the difference in the world.

Wonder how this would hide under a T shirt? I want one.

Would look good on your new belt.

With 40 rounds on your belt.....should just about balance out the 1911 :)

On the other hand, if you've got the Kahr, then you'll definitely be lop sided.

Four 10rd mags of 45 needs more than a belt!!!!! Maybe you can mount it to the chair in a secret pop out drawer. I have the regular Perry suspenders to keep the rig up (have very narrow hips) and had to get the "work man" Perry without elastic in the front for the Colt with 2 7rd spares. Tried 2 10rd and lordy they are heavy.

It must be the eyes, I counted 5 mags and picked up on the 40 rounds, too. LOL

It's big and heavy when I put it on and it's big and heavy when I pull it out. Don't get no better than that.

Good thought on the chair mount though. Maybe I could mount two. Not likely at 90 bucks a pop but I'd love to play with one.
Milt Sparks used to make what they called the 6 Pack. It was leather and held 6 mags. Probably a collector item now, never see em.

I'm gonna hold out for the backpack with the belt-feed for Boomer or the P40... à là Predator, etc. :59: I think some of my Cabela's LARGE polos will hide that.

i never carry a spare mag i always figured 6+1 should do the trick, maybe i should re-evaluate my thinking. i only carry my pm9 around so its not like i needed some overly supportive belt, but at 16.20 its a better option than anything i'd find locally and cheaper price tag too.

That's an excellent price for even a plain jane hold your pants up kind of belt. And being reinforced and heavier duty is just a good thing.
Many guys don't like wearing a belt. I have just always worn one far back as I can remember. Back in my walking days I never ever wore sweat pants. Now in the chair and all they are most comfortable and convenient, I just wish they had em with belt loops so I could still wear a belt.

Seriously Bawanna, you need the Garrett SLMC Model A (http://garrettindustries.mybigcommerce.com/products/SLMC-Model-A.html) spring loaded Mag carrier. It solves the problem of not enough while putting it in an easy to get-it-out package.

Now that's what I'm talking about. Why didn't Sheryl tell me about that when I was ordering? Not quite as cool as 5 mags laid out on your belt but far more practical and I can carry 7 instead of 5.

Soon as my piggy bank recovers I'll post a report on that unit. It's really not the Rambo mentality in me but in a chair its sometimes difficult to carry stuff from a back bench to the shooting station at a range. With that I could carry a bunch of mags ready to go and have hands free to move the chair, carry a target or whatever else needs to be done.

I'd of course wear it to work sometimes to show off my Mall Ninja Tactical side. My Khukri slung over my shoulder, throwing knifes, flash bangs, you know my usual day to day attire. A 15lb chair with 300 pounds of hurt locker tools and operator. Make perfect sense to me.

Thanks Old Lincoln, I don't now how I missed that unit. I thought I'd looked the site over pretty good.

Just to keep this sorta on track - Heck of a deal apdturbo ;)

Bawanna - serious "operator tactical mall ninja stuff". 56 rounds on the chair in a "self" feeding mag box, plus another 9 with the gun topped off, plus the kuri, throwing knives, stars, pepper spray, tazer, flash bangs, riot gun, etc.

I bought 2 of these from 5.11 a few months ago . I think for < $10 ea.

A 36" and a 34" ( for u know .... when I lose a few lbs :yo: ) .

It is nice and stiff and does a good job of supporting even my 1911 .

BUT

I noticed a few dark streaks on my beige leather seats recently . And I'm about 95% sure that the thread from the belt is migrating . I tried cleaning the belt . I used Renaissance wax on the belt . And it still seems to be messing up my damn seat . The marks are near impossible to get off .

So if you don't have light leather seats ur good to go .

Now u know why a $45 belt is on deep discount .

so i got the belt, its nice, i'm curious if the thread dye will migrate over to my jeans/shirts?

the belt runs a little smaller than larger in my opinion so order a size up if you are considering.

If you are the right size, 5.11 has them in the closeout section for $5.00.

Hey Bawanna, now you can carry 8 mags in your chair! (Or 8 on one side and that spring loaded 7 mag holder on the other side!)
