I had a chance today to shoot some of the Winchester Bond JHP Q4369
that I mentioned in an earlier post out of my new Glocks
(a Gen 4 G27 and Gen 4 G23) and it was top tier stuff.
Quite accurate (more accurate than me) with very low muzzle blast and
muzzle flash. Perfect functioning and very consistent over about 75
rounds.

Guys, I hope I'm not beating a deceased equine here but man
I have to say that the Winchester Ranger Bonded JHP 180gr Q4369
is just such an amazing deal right now that after shooting it today
I had to go back and buy another case.

Just to recap, this is an FBI over-run of the same PDX-1 180gr
ammo that's standard issue in their duty guns.

It's the same bullet as the PDX-1 180gr and in brass instead of
nickel cases and also is sealed as per FBI specs (primer and neck).

SGAmmo.com can these for $159.00/500 which is absolutely mind
boggling. That's barely more than FMJ for a top tier bonded hollowpoint.

Compared to 20rd Boxes of Winchester Supreme Elite PDX-1 180gr
for $21-25 at most places. (.32 cents a rd vs $1.00+)

I also shot some Federal HST 180gr (that felt a tad hotter than the
Winchester) as well as working through my old stash of Corbon 135gr
and Georgia Arms Gold Dot 165gr. I doubt that I'll be carrying either
of those last two loads so I'm enjoying the heck out of shooting
up what I've got on hand.

I've once again settled on the HST as my main carry load, no surprise
as it's also my 1st choice for 9mm (PM9) and 45 as well.
But I'm liking the idea of keeping a reload for both the G27 and G23
stoked with the Winchester Bonded 180's. I can extrapolate
from what data I've seen that it should penetrate more than the HST
and expand slightly less. I bet these would run well if I ever
got another 40 cal Kahr. (You never know:)
