Has Kahr picked up it's game when it comes to the CW9 line

I was at bass pro during lunch, and low and behold they are now carrying Kahr's but only the CW9,40,45. Well as i can never resist picking up a CW9 and fondling it more than i did my prom date.

Something felt different, still s tight fit, but smooth and easy to work the slide, and then I held my hand out to test the mag drop, and as usually with all CW9’s I have held in the past I was waiting to grab and pull it out after it stuck. That mag SHOT out, and I was very surprised, every single Kahr I have handled it take a little coaxing to get the mag out.

Well, I turned it over, and over, racked the slide, and it was smooth, and no grit, or sticking like I have found it every other Kahr I have handled.

Hard to say with a scientific sample of one. They certainly got their act together on CM9 and I would expect them to carry whatever changes there to the rest of the line.

see that's the thing, the CM9 i just picked up, was a little rough around the edges, and felt tight and gritty but I have just started to work on it and will run its first rounds through this Saturday. The CW9 just felt most like my classic sigs , and their smooth action. Heck if I was in the position to, I would have gone and picked it up.

I bought my CW9 about a year ago and it was just like the one you looked at today...perfect!

I never had to do a thing to it at all to get it to function 100%. It has never had a failure of any sort. I bought it at a gun show after spending most of the day looking at other brand's of small, slim 9mm's (almost bought a PF9:eek:) and when I got this one in my hand it felt so right it was sold and the paper work started all in a few min's:D

It was my first Kahr and the reason I bought the CM9 the first day they were released for sale. Now the CM9 is good, but I have had to do a lot of this and that to get it to my standards...so I would say Jocko is right it's the luck of the draw...Maybe you should go back and snatch that one up;)

Beardog that is a good lookin family, and i just may go back next week and see if it's still there, trust me i will know if it's the one.

I usually try and buy two of every family, two M&P's, two Sig's and soon to be two Kahr's.

down the road i will have two AR's(15,10), two shotties, and so on.

Hi Jason,
I use Traction Grips -black rubber, Have them on all my poly guns. I really like the feel of them and they provide a much better grip then just hard plastic. Also it adds almost nothing to the thickness of the gun.

Purchased a CW9 3 years ago.. What i noticed was while warm from my body from carrying, the mag dropped free everytime. If however i left it out cooled a bit the mags would not always drop.. experimented with this a number of times. and always dropped while warm but not when cool, strange. I have since fixed it (opened up the mag well a bit) so everything is good now.

Love my CW9. It just "feels" right and goes bang everytime I pull the trigger and shoots where I aim.

I bought a CW40 about a year and a half ago and it was an extremely
sweet shooter. The only problem I had with it was a tendency for the trigger
not to reset the first 100 rds or so. It would require a nudge to reset fully.
After a couple hundred rounds this stopped and it was very smooth from that
point on. I like that the CW series have a slower lock time than the smaller
CM and PM's. the slides are easier to work. All in all a great slim belt gun.

Can't remember why I sold it.....it seemed like a good idea at the time
but I miss it now:)
