Any suggestions for upgrades to my notion of the ultimate Glock?
1) Rocket 3.5 self cleaning trigger
2) 22 Round Factory Mag
3) Tungsten Competition Recoil Spring

Have a G27 also and chose the TruGlo sights (light pipes with Tritium) color contrast (yellow and rear two green).

I also found two Wolf conversion barrels. The G27 will accept a .357 and 9mm barrel. The standard G27 mags will accept the .357 (same casing size). Need to find a couple of 9mm mags to make the other work. If you decided to go 9mm for a self defense gun, you have to change the extractor.

So, I have all the hardware in my range bag. Just see what's in the ammo can and go shoot!

Tough to go wrong on a G27.

Now take a look at the ZAK or MIC holster post for the smallest holster for the Glocks.

Very nice, Barth! :D I usually install TruGlo TFO sights and a Ghost Rocket 3.5 or Glock 3.5 lb connector in all or my Glocks. Then, the subcompacts also get some finger rest extensions from http://www.concealablecontrol.com/. They don't add any extra length to the magazine, but help with recoil and drawing from the holster.

I run the same GAP finger rest extensions on my Glock 26 mags. Got them to assist in a more effective draw from a low appendix carry position. I don't believe they make much difference for me shooting wise (after all it is just a 9mm) but for sure improved my draw and having my grip well positioned ready to shoot. Outstanding product in my opinion.

Congrats on the new pistol Barth; it's got a nice look to it.
The G27 is my favorite Glock (actually the only one I own any more).
I tried about every spring/connector combination before deciding I liked the
NY1/factory 3.5 lb. connector combo best. I also like a smooth trigger over the stock serrated one.
I've tried the GAP base plate (Greg is super to deal with), but didn't care all that much for it YMMV.
I still have Pierce and a Magpul extension on some of my magazines, but rarely use them. I do use factory and Pierce +1 extensions on my spare carry magazines, but most often carry and prefer the standard base plate on the pistol.
Like pm9fan, I have a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel. Outside two FTF when it was very new, the barrel has worked great in my G27.
The .40 extractor works plenty fine; I saw no improvement with a 9mm extractor (remember the breech face is cut for .40 case heads).
The .40 cal ejector also works fine with 9mm.
9mm magazines are good to have, but 9mm will feed reliably enough for range use out of Glock .40 magazines (.40 will also work in 9mm magazines).
That said, I would not recommend the 9mm conversion barrel for self defense. Use it for recreation, but either buy a dedicated 9mm or all the parts (slide, barrel, extractor parts, ejector, and magazines) to convert the G27 into a G26.
I also have a Advantage Arms .22 conversion that is fun to shoot, but makes the G27 feel almost toy like.
A FIST IWB and Galco Yaqui side cover my holster needs.
About the only thing I can say bad about the G27 is that the finish Glock used on the slide stop sucks. I parkerized then painted mine and it still looks good today.
