View Full Version : An uneventful 2nd CM9 range session

I won't call it boring, because we had lots of fun, but the CM9 fed ~150 rounds without a hitch, and that's with my inexperienced sister and her also inexperienced boyfriend shooting it some. I just though I'd make sure and get the good experience registered here to balance out some of the trouble reports.
I had a couple of first rounds hang up under the feed ramp in the first 100, but none this time, so I'll just call them break in hiccups.
Now I just need to get more serious about training with it instead of just blasting at dead hard drives. While that's fun, the misses were not that informative.

Great! That's a good test with the sister and her bf. That's a good sign that it's easy to get along with.

I think we should make it mandatory that when you have a perfect uneventful range session especially with a CM you need to make something up, anything, a flat tire on the way home, lightning strike on your car antenna, snow in August in Phoenix, something to liven it up ya know?

I am awfully glad it worked well for ya, I really am, didn't wanna make it sound like you deserve a bad one or anything, no one does, well a couple do but we don't need to get into that.

No, I get it:) I actually did smile when I read your other post.
Actually, there was a stick that got wedged into the undercarriage of the van on the way back out of the 2 track that goes to the range area. That wasn't a big deal, either, I just stopped and reached under and pulled it out. No harm no foul.

That's great! Wish every Kahr first time out report was equally positive.

I made my third trip to the range with my CM9 Saturday. I fired 100 rounds of WWB using mostly the factory 6 round magazine to which I added a Pearce grip extension. That magazine fired cleanly every time. I also tried a ProMag aftermarket 7 round magazine. It failed to feed multiple times. I will clean and lube it and try one more time before I give it up. The last five rounds fired were Corbon DPX +P which fired without issue from the factory magazine. I will now trust it to carry but only with the factory magazine.
