I won a contest and the price was a Cerakote job on one handgun, I've decided to have my PM9 slide done in black (currently stainless).
Can't wait to see how it looks when it's done! Just need to get my lazy butt in gear and ship it off. I wish I could use USPS, would be so much more convenient.

:israel:u can just send the slide regular mail. not the bottom part, but the slide and slide release lever can go regular mail for about $8 bucks... the serial # of ur PM9 is on the lower polymer grip, that cannot go through the mail but the top slide certainly can and legally and you need not declare tothe postal people what tyhe hell it is either.:israel:

get insurance and tracking, and insure it as "Precision Machined Metal Slide", do not include anything about "firearm" or "pistol" in the description.

u don'tneed to declare what it is to insure it, I personally wouldhot say anything. these postal people are un9informed as hell and if you even toldthem it was a magazine, theymightsay wellucan't send that through the mail. Insure it for $200 and forget aboutit, It will get their ok, a tracking # is good but ao is also signed receipt. Ur dealing wtih anb honeralbe gun refinisher, not some fly by night place.
Keep any wording of firearm off the box, I am sure that the name CEREKOTE will be more than enough, They probalby refinish other product other than firearms to. ur 100% legal, mail it like any other package you would send through the regular postal system.

I probably should have used 'EFR' for the name instead of Easton Firearms Refinishing lol.
Oh well, it's all taped up now.
And yes, there will be pictures when I get it back - for sure!

Latest update:
"Just finished coating your parts they will go in the oven and get baked for an hour , cool down and then reassembly. I should be mailing it back to you tomorrow."Do they tell you how much a coating will impact tolerances? I'd be concerned abut doing a gun built to tight spec.
You'll know soon enough when you shoot her. Good luck

I'm lost. You had a link on a gun done in October. Are two of yours cerakoted now? How do they shoot and cleanup?
