My 380 should be comming back any day now, it needed a new frame and i dont know what else. As i have said before I had no problems until about 1000 rds. I really like to shoot my guns I buy. I dont think I can shoot it that much, and feel I can depend on it. I was thinking of trading it in for the cm9, but I feel it would be the same as the 380. Its to bad I really love the Kahr line, but no faith in product long term. I think I will just get another glock.:(

I feel the pain. My P380 is also being returned with a new frame and probably is a new gun. So, will it be reliable enough to keep it, or, time to sell and move on?? If you sell it as new(if it is) will you get more $$ than if you shoot 2-300 rounds, then decide to sell it??

No, mine is just the frame not the whole gun. I could shoot more rounds just dont think it will make a difference for sale or trade. Its really a shame I love the gun but i just cant trust it. I have a Sig 238 that I also love, but that little p380 was just so easy to carry. You really forgot you have it on. I would really like to get the cm9, but I dont want to go through all this again. Are you going to sell yours, or going to try and see if its a keeper. Well whatever you do good luck. I will post when I get it back to see whatelse Kahr has done if anything. Also hope I dont lose to much on a trade or sale, Kahrs are not cheap.

just be surprised now, with a new frame. I am reading more of complete frame changes. That has to tell us something. They have found something IMO that kahr felt need this drastic change. If it was I , I would give this new gun a retrail. acts up once, it is gone, but you might just be surprised. Remember the sig ur talking about went through some serious changes to to regain confidence. Just my two cents, to me totally two different guns,:israel::israel:

your right Jocko, but I dont think they have done any changes in the frame, so sooner or later it will happen again. If they have made changes in the frame I would give it a chance. I shoot about 3 to 4 times a month about 200 rds, so 800 rds a month, I dont think this frame can handle it. when i first bought this gun, I read in guns and ammo(i think) that these guns were built to only last 5000 rds. i emailed Kahr and told them about this, saying they should tell there customers that these guns are made to carry alot and shoot a little. they said keep it well oiled and it will last. When I get it back I will head to the range, if it handles like when I first got it, maybe I will change my mind. And as for my Sig, I was one of the lucky ones who have had no problems. nothing but good things to say about it. i really like this Kahr, would be thrilled if they made changes in frame. I was going to trade in my glock for the 9, glad i didnt do that. so will see what happens.

Went to the range to test the repaired 380, well new frame, extractor, striker block and recoil springs, and what do you think. This gun runs almost as bad as before. It stovepiped, ftrb, ftf, the magazine would not come out. what a day no fun at the range. Went home cleaned and lubed. I had to oil outside of mags to get them out, lube mag release, locked slide back put mag in halfway, still hard to get mags out. Sent Davidsons (who I bought gun from) an email asking if they would exchange gun ( lifetime warranty). I recieved and answer very fast. Diane from the company said yes. This is a great company to deal with, I think this is the 4th weapon I have bought from them. I would not sell this gun to anyone the way it is. I was going to not shoot it and trade it in at the gun show, but it was bugging me what if someone bought this and had to defend himself or herself. Tomorrow I will go get another Glock. No more of these small guns for me, to expensive and not relieable. Im not bashing Kahr, they tried there best, I just think you cant make weapons this small without problems.

Im done with my Kahr 380. The CW9 I have works great but the 380 is nothing but problems. FTF, FTE and now after 500 rounds the magazines are getting stuck. I am so glad I found this out at the range instead of a life or death situation. Kahr needs to recall the 380 or discontinue it until the problems get fixed. There is just to many bad ones getting out there. Mine was a complete lemon. If my CW9 which I love, goes bad then im done with Kahr.

So far, I'm good with my PM9 and P380 but there are lots of horrible stories about P380.
Anyone at Kahr is listening to these stories or they go "forget it, it's only a few naggers ..."
