Handled a CW9 a couple of weeks ago and fell in love. I found a pretty good deal on one and now am the proud owner. I've been shooting XD's and M&P's for quite a while and am a polymer gun junkie. Sure is gonna take some range time to get used to the long trigger pull but it already is getting better. I've run 100 rds through it without any issues and starting to get used to the trigger. Already have a Theis IWB holster for it and can't wait until I can get some more rds down range and start carrying it.
Good to have a place to gather info on the new gun; already learning a lot.

Welcome. The CW9 is a very nice gun in my opinion. Never had a single problem. I had one before my CM9.

You bought a good one! I am crazy about my CW9 and new CM9! Very happy about the Kahr pistols and now have hot and cool seasons covered. You will not be sorry you bought the CW9. I love my XD9 and XD9sc. And the Browning Hi-Power. But I carry the Kahr pistols.

For me, the trigger is something I needed to really concentrate on - being used to 1911's and Browning HP's mostly. It does take some concentrated practice, but... its can be managed. Some shooters here do amazing things with their P's and CW's - or even PM's.
And of course - much dry firing, and "calling the shot" helps. Watch those sights as you dry fire, adjust finger position as needed to correct for disruption of the sight picture. That helped me at the range.

I have been reading many of the posts and thought I would chime in. I have the CW9 for going on two years and love it. Never any problems, it's light and easy to carry and just can't say enough good things. I would also consider the cm9--unfortunately I live in Calif and it's not on the approved list. Anyone know the process for the approval? What a messed up State!

Welcome to KahrTalk!
Sounds like you're off to a good start with your CW9.
I wouldn't concern myself so much with the trigger pull of the CW9 vs. the other guns you mentioned. IMHO it is the different trigger resets that need to be worked out. I carry a P3AT and/or PM9 and/or Glock 26 and will let the trigger on the Glock all the way forward so that I don't short stroke the other two guns. If I could take about 50 years off my age and train/practice harder and longer maybe I could take advantage of the Glocks short reset and not risk short stroking the P3AT or Kahr.

200 rds down range and had the first "keeper" target this morning. I'm getting used to the different pull of the Kahr trigger but now I sure do have to be careful with the light triggers on my comp guns. Soon as I can run some JHP's through it I'll definitely start carrying this instead of my XD9sc. Seems to be really comfortable in the Theis holster.
I also went from an M&P9c to Kahr a CW9. The long trigger felt a little odd at first, but it became more natural feeling over time.
Going back & forth between the two can be cured with more range time. (That's my solution to every problem... or even non-problems;))
