question to answer, as other than the polymer lower section the guns are basically identical, in barrel quality, slide quality, same trigger system. similar sight systems... I shoot my K9 better than my PM9, course they are not exactly the same guns either. Possably the Mk with wood grips gives you a different hold than the PM9 does.

I sure would never call any PM kahr a timex. Seems any more when ever a company comes out with a new model semi, it is usually a polymer model. Has to be a reason for that. Kakr PM40 out sells the MK40 big time.. MK series is a darn good gun, I would not trade my PM9 for an MK9...

I guess if one is a rolex and the other a timex, then also one is a brick, the other a feather..

Agree with Jocko...one's just as good as the other..The grip shape or weight could be making the difference for you. I know you said sandbags, but still...... Or it could just be that one is just more accurate than the other....happens often enough even with "identical" guns.

I know I couldn't shoot a PM40 near as well as an MK40 beyond the first shot in anything other than slooow fire. For whatever reason, I have control issues with the .40's pressure curve in lw, compact guns that I just don't have with any other caliber. I'm all over the place in repeat double taps with my G27, but can shoot my G23 just fine.

I have three Kahrs in 9mm, one polymer and two steel. I shoot my PM9 about as well as my MK9....although I do shoot it more because it's my daily carry gun.

no doubt the 40 kahrs are harder to shoot than the 9's and I would think the MK40 would be even easier than the PM40 but one should know that before buying such a light weight gun also. I would magna- port my 40 kahr if I owned one, then it will tame down big time and be the gun of your dreams. beit the steel version or the polymer...

you are absolutely right jocko,I can personally vouch for the brick & feather thing,I shoot the same ammo through both of them maybe I need a little more time with the pm40.at 15 yds. I can a 1.5 inch group with the mk & 2.5 or 3.0 with the pm:D
