Same gun. The Kahr web site shows model PM9093. The Kahr box has PM9093A printed on it.

FWIW, that is the shorter slide model. Some folks call that more desirable, me being one of 'em, Jocko another I know of.

Can someone explain what is different about this "shorter slide model"?

The latest versions of the Kahr PM series pistols have an additional bevel to the nose of slide. The slide itself is a tiny bit longer as is the recoil spring. The change was made about a year ago but it's still impossible to get replacement recoil springs from anyone except Kahr. The longer recoil springs have been a source of some confusion as well sometimes appearing to coil bind and prevent the gun from being locked back with the slide lock by hand until the gun has been fired enough times to compress the new spring.

The older guns worked just fine, which prompts people to ask why the change was made. Kahr has not presented any information to suggest there is a good reason.

So . . . when a tried and true design is changed for no obvious reason, people with long, good experience with the original design are skeptical. ;)
