Hello,I been thinking about getting a cm9 and want to put a laser on it but, I do not like the crimson trace. Are there any other lasers that would fit? thanks

A small thread jack but too cool to miss. I'd love a pen that writes uphill and in the dead of winter. Watch the short video to be totally amazed!

Anybody know what portable vise he's using while hammering the pen through the piece of wood?

Says Jawhorse on the base but I never heard of it. Looks right handy.

I have a little bench top version of the old Shopmate? You can adjust the jaws on both sides so something that isn't square can still be held securely. I'd love to find another one. It's plastic and looks like junk but it's the ticket for stock work and checkering etc. I'm sure there are hundreds collecting dust in garages all over the place.

Thanks Bawanna; you the man!
That's a little pricey; so I need to do a some research, but I'm tempted to spring for one right now.

One fella in the reviews said he got his at Sears. Might be nice to get a look in person. Looks right handy.
Supposedly all steel and bomb proof. I'm sure I could break it but I'm better than average at breaking stuff.
I was a little confused when it said hands free operation, huh? What else is there?

The vice is foot operated, I guess that's what they are referring to with "hands free". Sears has photos of accessories: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/search_10153_12605?keyword=Jawhorse&vName=

I was thinking more confused in how I would operate the thing. Foot operated isn't an option for this old dirt farmer. But I'm hell with my hands.

I'm going into town today and will swing by Sears to see if they have one. If they do, I'll check and see how much pressure is needed on the pedal; perhaps it could be modded for hand operation.

Everything can be modified for hand operation. I know this to be true.

Looking at some of the accessories it looks like it might be a sweet setup for lots of stuff. The chopsaw setup looks good. I'm in shop organizing mode, not sure I want any more stuff in it but that might be handy enough to off set it.

Never know when I might want to test a laser pointer or something. That was one tough laser, I'll give em that.
