Just to give you some idea of the anti-gun mentality of this area, check this out. A Revolutionary War re-enactor made the mistake of taking his antique flintlock muskets into DC. They were in his car when he was pulled over for a minor traffic stop. He was arrested & spent overnight in jail. Fortunately charges were later dropped and the guns returned. FYI that is very unusual - typically DC keeps & destroys guns that it discovers. I remember a few years ago the guy who owns Jack Ruby's gun that was used to kill Lee Harvey Oswald was taken by the owner into DC as part of one of the never-ending JFK assassination investigations. DC arrested him and were trying to destroy the gun - history nothwithstanding. Anyway, the full report is here:
