Janice and I wanted to try some red dot scopes on our new Sig Sauer Mosquito's so we purchased a couple of the bridge mounts that will fit on the Mosquito's picatinny rail and then purchase a couple of the Barska 50mm Red Dot Scopes. They look huge mounted but it is easy to see the red dot as it looks to be projected on to the target and very easy to see with these both of these old eyes wide open. We can't wait to get to the range and zero these in, these will add another whole level of fun to our shooting.

Hello Dietrich.

The bridge mount is made of a polymer material and is 4.77 oz and the red Dot scope is 7.0 oz so the whole rig together is an additional 11.77 oz not nearly as much as it looks like it would weigh. The Mosquito is quite substantial itself at 24.6 oz even though the lower is polymer for a total weight of 36.37 oz before adding ten .22 cal LR rounds at 1.13 oz for an overall total weight loaded of 37.5 oz. (2 lb 5.5 oz) The recoils was very light before and I would think it will be reduced even more now, Hell maybe now I will be able to shoot this gun equal to the wife, LOL! :biggrin1: on second thought I keep forgetting she has one too, so if I get better she should also , man I can't get ahead of her no matter what I do. :behindsofa:

For going to the range, it looks like a great setup. The nice thing is with the rail you can try just about any sight you want. I have a firefly on a Mark II Ruger that is the same concept, slightly smaller. I got like an EO Tech import knockoff that works the same only its like a flat heads up display. Much more compact. Should be loads a fun playing with them skeeters now. Never thought I'd say that, lost plenty of blood to the little devils.:32:

Jocko,

I have not fired it yet but it ejects the rounds fine when hand cycling the slide. I hope to get to the range over the weekend and will report the results of the testing then.
