Anybody wanna share some of your fave long guns? My first love of guns started with shotguns and long rifles. Please share if you have some good long gun porn.
I popped this pic a few minutes ago:

No really good porn, but my favorite long gun is Mr Tommy. :yo:

When I just want to go shoot zombie targets, this is my go-to boom-tube. :86:

At the opposite end of the spectrum, but a really fun gun to shoot is an AK-22. Just a ton of fun. :33:

None of these are real target guns, just all guns I love to throw lead into silhouettes with. :53:

I'm with you, got my first shotgun when I was 13 years old - a Winchester Ranger Youth 20 Gauge and I still have it today. Been pheasant hunting since I was old enough to walk through the weeds with my Dad to help scare up the birds.
I now have:
Winchester Ranger Youth (both stocks) 20 Gauge
Remington 870 Express Magnum w/18" barrel
CZ Redhead Deluxe O/U 12 Gauge (my trap gun)
Ruger 10/22 bone stock.
I need to get some photos of them, hopefully one day soon.

I've been wwanting an SKS since I shot one a few months ago. Wish they were still under $100 like in the 90's. My gun funds are empty for a while, but an AR of some sort is in the future.

While I had the camera out I took shots of the top of the cabinet that the 03 was in. The old looking goat hunter picture is actually me in my younger days. The cowgirl is Mrs Bawanna in her younger days. Shes maintaining her looks far better than I.

In addition to my habit of gun accumulation I used to be an avid cartridge collector. Kind of slacked off in recent times in my quest but still got the ones I gathered so far.

Very cool Bawanna...Love that you can see your collection like that. Mrs. B is quite a looker too! Thank's for sharing these pics.(of the guns too :D) You have an amazing gun room. It's like a museum of gun's and ammo. About how much would a 42' Colt .45 be worth $ just out of curiosity???
I think I have decided that my next gun will be a 1911. I will be looking for some good 1911 advice when the time comes to bring one home.
I was playing with some Kimbers the other day at the fun shop (mistake) I stopped to see if they had a new Ruger 1911, they didn't, but the Kimber seemed real nice.$$

I'm on the prowl for the Ruger myself, none to be found around here yet but I'm waiting. Taxfolia just sold his 43 Colt for I think it was 2300 bucks? I may be off on that a little but it was a large amount. Not sure mine would bring that much but maybe. It is the hardnose and in real fine shape, I'm a fool to use it for fitting grips but I'm careful.
It's my GI duffle bag gun. Guy gave it to me still fully loaded straight from his duffle bag, had been there since 1943 or 45, can't remember which. Also got a mint M1 Carbine out of the same bag.
If you want a nice GI looking 1911 look at Auto Ordnance and some of the others. They have one now with a 100 year stamp. Get the Ruger to shoot and the AO to fondle.
I am incredibly lucky sometimes and hate myself when I forget that.

I agree... Bawanna's room and collection are awesome!
You and I must think alike. The Ruger SR1911 is what I have my eye on as well. Actually, I saw and handles one the first week they were out and not a sniff of one since. Man, that's a fine looking/feeling weapon. I did register in the Elsie Pea Forum raffle. Maybe I'll have some luck for once!

People sometimes call me a collector but the accumulation descriptor is far more accurate. I really have no focus like a collector. If it goes bang I want it. The older and the weirder the better. I like military stuff, but like em all. Before the chair I was an avid rifle and bow hunter and it occured to me that I never hunted with a store bought commercial rifle. Usually I used my grandpa's semi sportered 17 Enfield. It was good enough for him, it was good enough for me. My dad did the same and thankfully he didn't cut or change any metal or barrel on his. Just cut the stock. When he got sick he gave me the rifle and I scrambled to get all the original stock parts, people are nice, I got it on ebay and when they heard my mission they made sure I got one. Not great shape but its original. I wanted to get it together in time to get a picture of my dad holding it. I didn't quite make it which sucks but the plan was there.
I've been very fortunate in keeping most once I get them, and many I've gotten very cheap or free from old people looking for a home for their gun where they know they will be appreciated and taken care of and not butchered and messed with. Now I'm the old one but I'm not giving them up yet.
I may not have much else and it's getting harder and harder not to have to sell one now and then for something else. (Like my AR for wheelchair parts) but I got a few guns.
Les, there are a few of the Rugers showing up on gunbroker and a few places. I was hoping to see one in person before I buy one, at least I'm using that as an excuse since I don't quite have enough loot at the moment. Some of them are actually pretty decent deals too. A couple used but probably not even fired also but they are asking almost new price.
When your ready there will be one for you and hopefully me too. I think the last Ruger I bought was my wifes SP101 in 22. I'm long over due to get another Ruger product don't ya think?

My oh my, them old Winchesters and that Golcher make my britches stick out in front.
Some nice guns oozing with history too.
I have and old 10ga lever action Winchester that's been in the family, went through Missouri too, a long with a 73 in 32-20.
Priceless family heirlooms that I'll never part with.
