I have about 1500 rounds through my CW9. Never once have had an issue. Carefully maintained.
After going to the range the other day, I did my routine cleaning. Used a toothbrush in the frame to loosen the gunk, cleaned the bore, lubed with slipstream and reassembled.
The slide racks easily and normally. The trigger pulls all the way back, but no catch or release of a striker. It just pulls smoothly back without a click. Yikes!! I removed the takedown pin, but I can't get the slide to come off!!! Now I've got no trigger click in a gun I can't get apart.
I contactet Kahr by email to request a return authorization last weekend. I've heard nothing back yet.
Any ideas as to either a solution or what to do next??
Thanks.

sinceit happened after u cleaned thegun, evidently you did something wrong. I am wondering if u when u took the tooth brush to the frame if by chance u did not knock the trigger bar spring off of the bar. If that spring comes off the bar it will effect the cocking cam which release the striker.
U can take that little screw off of the side plate on the right side and pop that side cover off and u can see very easily if that spring is still on the bottom of the trigger bar. #6 torx tool will remove that side cover...

Thank you. Gotta get the right Torx and I'll give it a go. Is it relatively intuitive to get the trigger bar back together?

I've never actually done one but in schematics I've seen it's pretty straightforward. If you've ever done a Beretta 92 it's pretty similar, not quite as out in the open and easy to get to but certainly doable.

You can likely remove the slide using the straightened-paper-clip-with-hook-bent-at-one-end trick. You slip it into the rear of the slide and work the striker cams manually. As you feel them move, try pulling the slide forward.
I doubt there is much for you to see or do with the panel off that you cannot see or do leaving it on. One thing, however, is be very careful tightening that screw back in. It is like a wood screw in the poly and will strip out easier than you might think. Once stripped out you are SOL unless you gerry rig something.
If you get the slide off, I'd examine the trigger bar mechanism closely through from the top to make sure the trigger bar moves back and forth. Only if it does move but the cams still don't rotate would I remove the plate.

Well, I tried all your tips without success. Locked up tight. I contacted Kahr by email who said send it back. Shipped to them on Oct 17, and they shipped back on Oct 21!!! Replaced the trigger bar spring. I have not shot it yet but it functions like it should on the bench.
I'm pretty impressed with their turnaround.
