View Full Version : CM9 Left Front Slide Rail Has Small Cut-out

Looking at the left front slide rail of my new CM9 with slide locked back, I noticed that the slide rail has a very small semi-circular cut-out in it about 1/2 inch from the front. It looks like it is machined out on purpose, rather than just gouged out by accident. Strange looking, but not seeming to cause any problems.
Anyone else have this on their CM9 ?

Yep! Everyone has. It is used to help align the rails when they are molded into the plastic frame. :D
No worries! That has to be nearly the most frequently asked question here, which may be why Kahr mentions it on their web site, somewhere. ;)

It's normal , a witness mark used for manufactering.....I think you might get a prize as the millionth person to ask this question.:D
