Fired some rounds across my Chrony today from the CM9.

WWB 115gr. .....ave.1046
Triton HiVel+p 115gr. .....ave.1095
Triton Quick-Shock+p 115gr. .....ave.1027
WWB 147gr. .....ave.873.9
Remington Golden Saber 147gr. .....ave.873.9

I fired the Remington into water jugs and it expanded well, but it lost it's jacket in the third jug.
The lead core stopped in the fourth.
I'm sorry to read some of you are having problems with your CM9's.
I followed the prep advice and mine has been flawless.
Mixed ammo in the mag, weak hand shooting, slide lock all 100%.
All while being scary accurate.
Hope Kahr takes care of yours,I've been more than satisfied with mine.
It's becoming my second favorite pistol.

What is your first favorite? I'm guessing a Glock?

if you think the cm9 is scary accurate, you should see me shooting paper plates at 25 yards with my pm9, i've surprised many people at the range that did not believe a pocket pistol could be so accurate. i may have helped sell a few due to this aswell.

btw, welcome

Are you saying that you could still eat off the paper plate after shooting at it at 25 yards?

Sounds a lot like me.

Welcome to KahrTalk!

Thanks for the crono info, very informative.

As a civilian for SD I personally wouldn't concern myself with jacket separation. Water jug testing is interesting but I'd not put to much weight on it for judging terminal ballistics in order to choose my SD ammo. Believe covered ballistic gelatin is a better medium then water jugs.

147 Speer Gold Dot's run 897 fps from my PM9 and penetrate 4-1 gallon water jugs, stopping in #4, forming a perfect .568" mushroom, with no jacket separation.

Just about the same penetration as a 230 gr. XTP at 862 fps from a 4" .45acp, expanding to .644"

Interesting differences between the WWB and +p
AND..the WWB will expand and land in the 4th jug too.
My PM9 has been reliable and accurate since day 1 as well.

That's impressive! I am going to have to get some those 147gr GDs.

EDIT: Thanks, you guys, for the valuable statistics.

Funny

My first favorite is a Dan Wesson CBOB in 10mm.

Love those CBOB's!

Gotta admit though the PM9 gets way more CCW time. The 10mm being for the woods.
