Finally got a chance to take my new CM9 to the range today, and I'm happy to report all went well. Ran approx. 300 rounds through it with only one hiccup, a failure to feed at about the 50 round mark. Fed it two types of range ammo and one box of Personal Defense ammo. Just got done cleaning and reassembling the gun and now feel confident using the gun as my carry gun. Also should report that my free extended mag showed up earlier this week approx. two weeks after I sent the form, Thanks Kahr!
Only complaint I can think of at this point is the metal base plate for the six round mag is tough on my little finger with my current grip, anyone know if there is a plastic replacement that is as thin as the metal one that comes with the gun?

There's not a plastic replacement that is as thin that I'm aware of. There was a great thread of someone modifying some Pearce baseplates that looked great, but the pics are down now. BTW congrats on your CM.

thanks for the report. the only two replacement base plates i'm aware of are the pearce and the kahr polymer magazine base (http://www.kahr.com/Magazines/Kahr-Polymer-Magazine-Base-Kit-9-mm-and-40-SandW.asp) which is probably the close thing to what you are looking for.

Thanks for the info, but it says it won't fit mags with a metal base... :31::rolleyes:

If you trim the CW9 magazine base plates and use the CW9 retainer, it will all work. I have these on all my CM9 and PM40 magazines.

I am curious to see what those look like when in the gun.
Pic, please?

Here is the page on the Kahr site to get the magazine parts.

Here are your photos. Base plate has to be trimmed on the top to get the magazine to seat, and I rounded off the ledge on the front.

Sand off the top surface until the mag release will catch and then round off the front if you want. It will fit just fine with about 15 minutes work if you want them to look nice. I have these on all my PM40 and CM9 magazines.

Looks great! All those people who don't like the look of the space between the grip and the bottom of the magazine should do this.
I might try it myself.

I just took my CW9 to the range, broke it in on 4 types of ammo, 200 rounds later not a single hiccup.
Very pleased! It also got more accurate with more rounds down the tube.
