Hey guys,
A new CW9 owner, and new to the forum. So.... I have been having alot of problems with my weapon. It started with the magazines falling out during firing. I read alot of other threads about the problem, so I made sure that my grip was not the cause, and had other shooters shoot it. Mag continued dropping most of the time. I put about 500 rounds 127gr Fiocchi FMJ, hoping maybe it needed a good break in. I noticed that I was getting "slop" between the slide and frame. Also, the action of the gun without touching the trigger was smooth, but if I dry fired the gun and held in the trigger, to get a feel for the trigger reset, the action was rough, stiff, and noisy.
I then realized that the back of my frame, behind the ejector, was bent. The small 1/4 inch square that comes up on the left to match the slide, was bent outwards about 1/10 inch. It almost looks like the ejector slid back in to it. I stripped the gun down to try and figure out the noise in the action, and I can see that there is damage to the top of my trigger bar (the small rounded part that comes up from the right side of the frame to engage the striker). It looked dented and scored, and the frame near it had a small cut in it as well.
I immediately called Customer Service, and I was very pleased. They told me to send the gun in immediately, and sent me a shipping label to get it there. I hope that everything is good when I get it back. Has anyone seen these kind of problems? I am glad that I have so many friends with similar Kahrs, I know that these are great guns, but had I not I don't think this would have been a good first impression.
