This may be hard to describe but I have an small issue reholstering my PM9 into my silent thunder IWB. When it is in the full cant position, the front of the holster drops about 1" below the top of my belt. Thus creating a space that gets filled somewhat with the top of my pants and or shirt. It does not block the reholster but it slows it considerably. It makes it much more difficult to naturally holster the gun. Now if there was about one inch more kydex covering the top of the slide the holster would be almost even with my belt and the whole top of the holster would be open to the reholster. Rather than the rounded top, I am suggesting that the top be more squared at the top of the slide side. I am wearing a 1-1/2" double thick gunbelt so that is not the problem. Anyone else with this issue?

Nature of in waistband really. Reholstering speed isn't that important compared to the draw. Usually once my gun is holstered it stays there until I change clothes.

I find the same thing 340pd. I messed with the cant and decided it was okay. It doesn't affect my draw, which isn't that great anyway. I reholster from the back toward the front so it doesn't bother that either. Part of it may be I've lost quite a bit of weight and can see my belt again.

You can easily raise the whole holster one notch with the attachment screws also. You'll just be using two of the attachment points but that raises the whole holster about an inch as I recall. Of course you can lower it if needed also.

Ron suggested that to me when I was in my thinking and planning stages. I found also that if I carried the holster just a little bit back like between 3 and 4 if your normal (I mean right handed) I didn't need as much cant and it kind of hit a sweet spot on my anatomy where it was most comfortable.

DUH, If I had a brain I would be dangerous. I was looking at that center screw hole wondering what it was for. Raising it will solve my issue. As to reholstering it, I agree once a day is enough but I do practice the draw. (unloaded of course) BWT that holster is really nice. It doesn't crush and it is very adjustable as I just found out. Love the leather lining.

Thanks to all. Forgive my stupidity but I am sure there is more to come.

Thanks for the tip, just tried it and what a difference! I may switch from the j hook to the standard clip with it this way though for more stability up high.

Hold your head up son. We don't get unstupid by not asking questions and only reason I knew is Ron the man that built it suggested the possibility to me.

They say if you don't want to look stupid to stand next to a person stupider than you are. I'm still on the quest myself. I know there's one out there but he's a sneaky hidey one. Must be wearing camo.

Or maybe ugly and uglier, same rules apply I reckon. I don't need to worry about that one. I may never be president but I'll always be good lookin.

WOOHOO!!! Perfect. All issues solved. Don't get old. I will have both rotator cuffs operated on this year. One down and one to go. While healing, gun placement is critical. Fortunately strongside arm is finished and perfect. Now if anyone knows how to rack the slide using my teeth for a few weeks...
Thanks, Bawanna.

Wow, that's good advice concerning the burning dog. I hadn't considered that.

If my memory is working at all Mr. Thunder posted a video of cycling a Kahr with one hand, both left and right.

I can't do it with my PM45, I'm still trying. I have the hand strength but I think my hands are just too small. The PM9's maybe are just a tiny bit smaller enough that it would help too.

I know I tried and tried and still try from time to time but I can't do it.

A 340PD is a model of S&W revolver is that what you don't get?

Wondering if that holster trick would help make my XDM a bit more comfy with less gun in my pants.

OK, that didn't sound right...

Oh, okay, slow but I do get it now. Thanks. I thought it might be the police department office #340 or something. Silly me.

That might be a good question for Jocko.

No photo's or youtube video's requested. Sometimes what goes on behind closed doors is best left behind closed doors.

One thing on a serious note, well I don't do serious but this is as close as I get. You'll sometimes find when you go for the higher ride height, you lose a little bit of the stability. On a larger frame gun like your XDM with lots of bullets up high it might want to tip out too much. Easy to try and nothing to lose though.

This is one thing that I really like about Mernickle's OWB holsters. They ride very high (not great for fast draw) but my gun spends way more time riding in the holster than it does getting drawn. But it doesn't tip out.

Yeah, my smooth leather lined Tagua Belt Holster (http://www.taguagunleather.com/new/open-top-leather-belt-holster-p21) ($45 shipped) is very high ride for my CM9, yet it doesn't tip out. I'm wearing it at about 8:30. Wait a minute ..... yes, it's still there (I had to reach back there and touch it to confirm that it is still there! :D)

As you can see, most of the gun sits above the belt line. That won't be the case with the one hole adjustment on the Silent thunder, but the Kydex might want to slip a little more. They have an extra wide clip for that holster that may help retain stability with it raised.
