CW9 Striker worries [Archive]

I have a question about the firing pin on my CW9. When I pull the slide back, the firing pin comes out and doesnt go back in until the slide is almost all the way back forward. I made a video to show what is happening since that is easier than explaining it. What I a worried about is an accidental discharge while loading the chamber. Is this normal?

Your pistol appears to be functioning normally. The striker does not have a rebound spring, thus it can stay forward until the cocking cam catches it as the slide returns to battery.
