Flying through Chicago soon--questions

Here's the situation: I'll be flying to Chicago for business, then catching a flight on to Cleveland for a few days, then back home, with another flight change at O'hare. I've read the handgun.us article on Illinois several times, and it seems that if I keep my handgun unloaded and in a locked case while I'm in Chicago, I might be legal. Anyone KNOW the right answer?

Ur gonna bo OK on the highway carrying the gun that way. locked kand in a case and unloaded. I would worry more about Ohara than anything, Hard telling what those a-sholes can do if they desire to be real asses. Illinois is a real sh-t state for gun owner ship. I live next to that state and hate even going into it with my carry peace.
